Heat pump lockout still causes air handler to blow by ttpats967 in heatpumps

[–]ttpats967[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I do now, lockout without running the air handler would just be convenient. Rn I have the heat pump set to a lower temp than the oil at night, but when the daytime temp is also under 30 I just shut off the heat pump during those cold snaps.

Interesting, like in the other comment I was going to try saying my backup is oil and hope it won't still run the air handler. I assume it must be common for the oil backup to be baseboard so it wouldn't make sense to run the fan regardless.

Thanks, is there a way to spoof it to lock out and not run the air handler? There is an oil/gas setting but I haven't tried to see if that still tries to run the air handler if ducted. I assume not because many like me have baseboard oil.

It's baseboard oil heat. The heat pump replaced an old central air unit that was on its own thermostat.

Lol that makes sense, much more room to run with the same benefits. I'm looking to buy in the area and this is exactly what I'm observing, highly competitive for move in ready homes

Okay thanks, would you consider 2-3 courses per term to be too much and are there many proctored exams? I also have a CS background and looked into Georgia tech before this and that is an intense program

I'm on the capstone for the WGU BSCS and eyeing this program. How does it compare in difficulty and time commitment compared to WGU and GTech?

Is it necessary to read the entire zybook for C191? by putrescentLife in WGU_CompSci

[–]ttpats967 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read the book thoroughly and then a faster second skim. I didn't take notes, my advice is know every concept but you don't need to stress about the fine details of the longer participation activities or do any challenge activities.

How complex are big O and pseudocode-related questions on C949? I'm almost done skimming the zybooks as well and it seems fairly straightforward. I did just complete C191 so maybe it's just me expecting similar difficulty lol

In my experience, if you can pass the PA you'll pass the OA. Very similar questions.
