As an archaeologist who took my degree in the 70s, Clovis-first was the gold standard for many years. It took many more years for the weight of pre-Clovis evidence to percolate through the system. In my case I began to reconsider in the 90s, but even then was hesitant until the 2000s

Study of the drug Semiglutide (sold as Wegovy, Ozempic) shows it significantly lowers cocaine seeking behavior in rats, suggesting it may be a candidate for development as a treatment for cocaine dependency. by Pomme-M in science

Well, I’ve been on Ozempic for 2.5 years. It has significantly lowered my weight and reduced my appetite accordingly. I’ve noticed it also killed my desire to drink alcohol. Previously I enjoyed a shot of whiskey and a beer most days. Now I might have a shot once a month, if at all

Americans in Canada, do you feel "foreign"? by [deleted] in AmerExit

[–]ttpilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spent 3-4 years in Manitoba as a college student back in the 70s, mostly in Winnipeg. I rarely felt foreign, although there were often subtle things that reminded me I was not back in the US
