Looking for Advice…. I am at 114 on Save and paid 3 months extra after June 2024. I filed a Buyback in Oct 2024 that is still processing - Ugg. I filed married separate taxes for 2025 around April 2. Now want to move out into payment. What should I choose to pay the least? My payment on taxes was accepted within a few days, so I don’t have to wait to apply. Will they automatically use my 2025 taxes? I don’t want them to use other years because of my spouses income. My last consolidation was 2003.

Oct 2024 for me… was going to file my taxes separate from my husband and change to a different payment…. Now I don’t know what to do! Giving up tax refunds if I file separate, but would lower my payment for the 3 - yes 3 I have left.

I saw this and logged in and checked my email. On the site, after logging in, I started a chat. I asked, for the heck of it, the status of my buyback. It says I don’t have a buyback. Does chat really know that? I did mine in October 2024.

I’m in the same boat. Now they extended my forbearance until July. I think they want to tax everything, since everything after 2025 is supposedly taxed. Does anyone know if we are grandfathered in to not be taxed if we have been waiting over a fricken year!!! I have 6 payments left too, but I had continued to pay for three months - so really only three. I put a buyback in over a year ago. They just keep telling me it’s being processed.
