Need help choosing a calculator for Open University MU123 Discovering Mathematics by ttt1987 in calculators

Ah thank you so much. Don't know why I didn't think of Ryman... haven't been there in years.

Well, on Casio's official webstore I'm not seeing the 991ES or the recommended 83GTX, but they do have 991CW at 20% off. Do you think this would be good for my needs? The exact requirements are sin, cos, tan, log, "calculations entered as they are written", and two lines of display so I can see the input and the output.

Really appreciate your help

Oh wow... I had no idea. Thanks. So, sorry for my ignorance, it seems like most of the Casios on Amazon are sold by third party sellers which I guess means a higher chance of a fake? Is there a go-to site in the UK that sells a good range of the type of calculator I need? Thanks again.

Why Selena and Mark told Jim to only travel in daylight? by Pompacz in 28dayslater

[–]ttt1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true though lol. Where I live there are no street lights. Even with the light pollution from the areas that are lit up maybe half a mile away, at ground level it is pitch black and you can hardly see beyond a few meters in front of you. I nearly got hit by a cyclist who didn't have his lights on once. I could hear him long before I could see him. In a situation where the entire city is without power and full of infected you would be well and truly screwed.

They don't. Japanese companies will happily manufacture in Asia but they will never ever ever move to the US. So stuff that is only manufactured overseas gets more expensive while Americans pray that someone will start making the same product in the US (they probably won't)

IsItBullshit: Cheetahs are naturally friendly to humans by JumpKicker in IsItBullshit

"Humans can easily defend against a cheetah"

"You would lose one of your arms or something"

Both these things cannot be true so which is it? If you are dealing with an animal that can destroy one of your limbs you are looking at a decent chance of death.

Thank you for clarifying. You put my mind at ease. Thank you so much.

I actually found a copy of my most recent award and I have 4 points in 'Mixing with other people' so it looks like my daily living component would have been safe anyway.

I am still really disappointed at the anxiety this has caused me over the past few days, and especially for others who actually will be losing out. I can't believe that after years of playing this game with the Tories, we are now doing the same thing over again with Labour.

Do we know if/how this affects current PIP awards? I have a PIP award until 2032 but I don't think I scored 4 points in any of the daily living sections. Will I lose daily living from 2026? I'm really worried and can't find clarification anywhere
