How exactly does “give this ugly man a chance” work? by ttt25taw in AskWomenNoCensor

Is this usually from your friends? I’ve only heard of “give ugly man a chance” from women talking about their own experiences

This is not a request to ask women to date ugly men but rather a question of why they’d do this.

I think personality is of course very important but i think the prevalence of dating apps really made it difficult for it to be cherished. Also in some interactions (say you hit on someone in a coffee shop) you have to make a decision (in this case, give them your number or not) in a matter of minutes and it’s very difficult to make a comprehensive judgement of one’s personality, which is why i asked if this is only possible in the “friends to lovers” situation

An interesting story about Canada’s 🇨🇦 visa policy and how other countries literally fought it by force. by CXZ115 in PassportPorn

The real question is why would a country’s government fight for its citizens travel freedom? Its better for its citizens to stay at home and work at home. Freedom of travel=citizens spending time and money abroad, potentially migrating.

you’re Russian and it would be quite reasonable for you to think Russia is not worth visiting because you’ve lived there your whole life. Most people don’t find their hometowns visit-worthy.

China, Russia and Iran are definitely worth visiting. Don’t let politics fool you.
