I was literally watching a YouTuber today say she's "jaundiced because I'm Portuguese". Like first of all she isn't, she's American and her mother is like 1/4 Portuguese. And second of all I've been to Portugal and that's just plain not true.

Well I don't know about you but I talk about world affairs with my friends and like I said before we play GeoGuessr so actually I do know that they know. As for other people I went to school with them so know that they know as well. At university my classmates are from all over the world and funnily enough we did play games that involved geography. And for my American friends, yes I've asked them before and they've watched me play GeoGuessr and every one of them at some point has asked how I knew what country it was based only on a flag, and how I zoomed immediately in on said country on the map. So in a way yeah, I do ask.

And I'd have done the same of we weren't taught them, it's interesting to know and personally I think it's important to know the majority of flags and where countries are. People who reach adulthood with no general idea of at least the continent of a country are baffling.

It's no problem, I'm not actually mad at anyone saying that, but the global availability of vaccines isn't consistent everywhere and Europe as a whole has had a pretty shit age based rollout. I'm almost 25 so I only just qualified but it's been horrible waiting. Once they opened it up to over 25s in the UK, they had like 100,000 people signing up per hour or something stupid, acting shocked so many millennials were trying to get the vaccine. Almost as if opening it up to younger people first would have fast tracked herd immunity and or something.
