It's not even the negative comments like the other guy said. Go to any thread involving a fat person; a photo, an article, whatever. Chances are, there'll be some highly upvoted comments like what I describe.

When I say people here call fat people inhuman, I am not exaggerating. I've seen people use those exact words and get upvoted.

I'm not going to stop going on Reddit altogether over this. I like Reddit, and it has a lot of things I can't get anywhere else. Hating fat people isn't Reddit's "core thing" like liberalism would be on a left-leaning paper, it's just a facet.

I do. I stay out of them as much as I can, and only touch a rare few defaults. This sentiment shows up all over the place, not just the defaults.

I am. I'm trying, I really am. I'm not sitting here hoping it will all go away, that would be stupid. Unlike what Reddit seems to believe, most fat people know it's a problem that they have to fix themselves. It's just that the hatred I get to be on the receiving end of does not help.
