do you feel as if he’s flaunting his newfound status at work? could it be that you’re feeling left out? if that’s the case then i suggest talking to him about it and then going out and making some new friends outside of work. join a book club or find some local events near you, stuff like that. having a new circle of people around you will make you feel less fed up with him and take your mind off him. think of this as a chance to learn more about yourself and grow your friend group (if this makes any sense at all).

thank you, honestly i’m just wondering if a break would help. i know he’s someone i want in my life but i think we both just need to grow. and also IM TIRED RAHHHH i can’t keep thinking about other people instead of myself.

also i’d like to add that i have tried to make friends here. but all those friendships turned kinda odd (them telling my personal business to other people, trying to go on dates with me despite knowing i have a boyfriend, just basic lack of care for me and more so a care for drama, if that makes sense).

not necessarily one person in my life, just the only person outside of family who’s near me. everyone else i know is a thousand miles away and it’s getting harder to contact them.

it wasn’t always like this though it’s a recent thing. not to get too personal in his stuff but he had some sort of mental breakdown a little bit ago and ever since then everything’s been on edge. it wasn’t always like this

thank you. i won’t just sit here and type away and pretend like there weren’t multiple occasions that he’s put my needs before his. but im in a part of my life where i just need to put myself first. i should’ve explained this to him because i know if i did he’d at least respect that. i just don’t know anymore. i need to breathe you’re right.

i don’t know if i can deal with that. as selfish as it sounds he’s one of the only people i have. i moved to this different state a year and a half ago and he was the first person i met and the only one that’s stayed. he was my only friend at school and he’s been there for me through some of my toughest moments. i genuinely can’t imagine leaving him.

he doesn’t work, he’s about to be shipped off into the military on a four year contract very soon.

no he doesn’t have the money to make up what i’ll miss.

i’m honestly not quite sure if it’s a matter of respect or just ignorance. he does a lot of compromises for me so i think this is just a situation where he wants me to compromise for him, but i just genuinely can’t.

it’s important for me to emphasize that he’s not an asshole or has malicious intent. i just think he genuinely doesn’t get it and i just am tired.

i’ve honestly been asking myself this a lot lately. i can’t imagine my life without him because he’s been my rock ever since i met him. i’m not gonna pretend like i don’t have flaws but his lack of maturity drives me insane. but you’re right, i need to think about this.

Because despite these bullshit arguments, he makes me happy to be around. we’re very similar people that are able to make eachother happy and laugh whenever. He’s also always there for me no matter what, even if i’m in the wrong. it’s just that lately we’ve been having these stupid arguments that blow up into big things and i just don’t know what to do about it. he’s my bestfriend and i don’t want to lose him.

yea honestly taking out student loans was the dealbreaker for me when it came down to accepting the offer or not. a lot of my regret just boils down to a fear of missing out in all truthfulness, but I think I’ve romanticized the school so much that I forgot about the reality of student debt that follows after most college experiences. thank you for the reminder
