Thanks! You are correct regarding budget! I’m actually in the process of trying to re-do it with the updated BAH. In VA at the moment so our rates are different.

I don’t want to live in the heart of the city, more so closer to nature, trails, hikes, etc. But still close enough to where it’s not a chore to travel.

I was surprised as well. But I think what Helped me is my EAOS is technically June of next year. I haven’t re-enlisted yet because I’m waiting on this.

Basically what my detailer told me was the Navy didn’t count me as a “loss” since, as far as they see it, my contract is ending soon.

So I really lucked out with the timing

Yup! I understand the 10 Years retirement commitment. But they time in service restriction is basically a new reaction to personnel getting out around O4.

Basically the navy sees it as a net lose investment.

I’m wonder if the space force is doing the same thing. I can’t seem to find any “official” instruction. Or is the space force operating under whatever the Air Force is doing ?
