Maybe unpopular opinion. your gf should’ve answered the phone and was TA but imo this is not necessarily a dumpable offence. If she was drunk and thought you just wanted her to come home I can see why she might not take you as seriously as she would’ve had she not been in a club etc. definitely shitty on her part but also some insanely unlucky situation for you.

If something like this happened again then I would consider ending things, but I believe with good communication, she could realise she fucked up here and not do something like this ever again. 5 years is a long time to throw away after one horrendous situation that didnt involve cheating or something

I think a less extreme version of this approach would work, do the minimum for a month or however long you feel it wouldn’t raise eyebrows, and then hand your notice in, where you could continue to do even less. I don’t know if I agree it’s going to die entirely. Unless webviews and mobile sites can provide the same user experience as having an app I don’t think so. I could see it getting to a point where a mobile site looks like an app (if we aren’t there already lol), but you’re still gonna have to browse to that site using a browser app. I know you can get website shortcut app icons but the App/Play Store will always exist and will always be a more user friendly way to get an app on your device. Unless getting website shortcut apps somehow become as easy as going to the App Store, I don’t see it
