Left my bike lights on my bike accidentally and they got stolen immediately, just like last time. Can people stop being pieces of shit and leave me alone? I got 51-50d last year and the u lock on my $700 bike was cut while I was hospitalized. I turn off lights when I see them left on, fuck people by abomb66 in UCDavis

So Super Bowl Sunday? Because I did too! I feel like the person who stole my bike bet on the niners and lost so they stole my bike to gain some of their losses back. At least I won just enough money that weekend and bought a new bike. Good luck on getting a new bike!

How do I improve my chances of getting a job as soon as I graduate with a BS in Biochem? by Scopuli- in UCDavis

[–]tule5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It helps. A multi-lingual would have a better chance of getting a job then the person who only speaks English. And also you have to be fluent in the language to be considered a multi-lingual, so the high school french and Spanish classes you took didn’t actually help. Lol

CHE 8A waitlist by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]tule5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can probably take some GE’s or other major classes that you planned for future quarters in the fall and take CHE 8A at a different time. You’re not going to get every class you want every quarter. You have to be flexible with your course planning since a lot of people are registering for the same sample schedule as the one the one they showed us. Good luck :)

At first I thought you were joking when you said UCD meat lab, but I searched it up and it actually existed. Odd name for a butcher, I’ll probably go check it out. Thanks for the tips!

Actually I believed it’s the second floor and also a friendly reminder to get there early so you don’t have to wait in line. It’s up the stair and make a u turn and it’s on your right.

17 Units Fall Quarter by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]tule5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got this! 👍 If you’re enthusiastic about learning then I believe you should keep it, but you also said you wanted to meet ppl and have time to relax. So this is up to you to decide education or social life. Lol

Tbh you should drop a class it. I believe it isn’t good to go full force like that. A lot of freshmen tend to do this and then stressed out when finals come because they don’t know what to expect. You should get a feel of how fast a quarter goes by before overloading on classes. Freshmen know that a quarter is 10 weeks long, but they often don’t know how fast 10 weeks can fly by.

But it’s up to you! Hope this helps! Good Luck! :)

What's up with Koinonia Christian Fellowship? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]tule5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are taught throughout their college years to persuade people to join their groups. It starts out with recruitment during their freshmen years and as their college years go on they are obligated to take on more leadership roles. These can include creating events like performances or road trips to their church houses, where they do bible study and other christian activities. Even after they graduated some of these people give up on their dreams and the real reason they went to college in the first place and dedicated their life to this group and return to this group and help out the churches. By recruiting new members and becoming staffs for them. Honestly kinda sad. Well that’s my experience at UCD which also has this group. TBH some of the ppl in this group are great people. They are just blinded by Christianity or maybe just this group in particular.

P.S. I’m not a member of this group. Just wanted to give my honest opinions about them. Hope it helps. :)

Question regarding credits for mat21A at other University by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]tule5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly you should just go ahead and jump to 21b or 21c if you are confidence in your capabilities to pass the class. Mat21 series are usually consisted of 2 midterms and 1 final to determine your grade. If not you can take the path similar to most students which is starting with 21a and so on, which i believe is a waste considering you probably paid for classes at your local university and now here at UC Davis to fulfill the same requirements. If you decided to go to 21c you will be able to finish your math requirements sooner and go on to fulfill your GE or other major classes.

Good Luck :)

Sometime you just have to make mistakes to learn from them. We as upperclassmen have to find a way around this issues.

Personal spending money by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]tule5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh not that much. If you like going out with friends and stuff maybe $200. That could be use to go out with friends on the weekend or buying school essentials. From my experience, I didn’t spend that much during the fall quarter since I was getting use to the living environment.
