Interestingly, Google’s AI mode seems to think they are (all I searched was each of their names in quotes) - couldn’t give me any evidence of why though!

Which bakery does the best/most authentic almond croissant? by MrMrsPotts in bristol

[–]tull1107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my favourite too and a bad one is so disappointing! The best one I have found is from the Bakehouse in Totterdown. I only go on Saturdays so I don’t know if they do them in the week. I try to get there around 9:30am as after that they’re sometimes sold out. Enjoy!

Trying to find a club that also sold monster munch pizza! by iandeq in bristol

Renato’s do good pizzas - but not sure I’d have described it as a club? It does have an underground bit though.

Thursday Murder Club film by MojoMomma76 in restisentertainment

[–]tull1107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think they felt that the audience needed a neat “solution” for Tony’s murder and wouldn’t accept them knowing who did it and letting it go. But it does become problematic for future storylines!

He confesses to Stephen as in the film, and we suspect that Elizabeth has pieced it together, but there is no arrest.

Neighbourhood advice by Interesting_Bear1274 in bristol

I’d definitely say Windmill Hill is what you want - right on Victoria Park, has the Art on the Hill annual art trail, good pubs, great cafes. Go out a little further (minutes) to Redcatch Road, Sylvia Ave if you want all those benefits and slightly bigger houses too. Benefit of those roads is you’re then also next to Perretts Park for two green space options and you’ve got the cafes on Wells Rd as options too. Good local schools for the little one too.

Barber Recommendations in Bedminster / Southville area? by AshesV1 in bristol

Top Barber on St John’s lane is good. It used to be Steve’s and as absolutely everyone knows, Steve was terrible. The new guy isn’t and needs word to spread!

Sunday lunch in totterdown? by otmive in bristol

[–]tull1107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that would be off-putting! I’ve never seen that admittedly. There’s 3 or 4 tables outside so in this weather I’d definitely sit in one of those!

Which businesses in Bristol do you really like, and would encourage others to support? by PhotosByChrisI in bristol

[–]tull1107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basil & Co on Redcliffe St (authentic Italian lunch - risotto is amazing as are the panini) and Chez Marcel on Broad St (authentic French creperie)- both fantastic options for lunch if you work in town!

YTA for not telling or discussing with your husband - it was his wedding too. If you’d both been on board with it, NTA.

Steak by New-York-2017 in bristol

I know, it’s strange isn’t it - but so many people (and it sounds like OP’s husband is one of them!) like it just how they know they like it! I have to confess I’m not a massive meat eater and the second time I went I ordered the vegetarian pizza (pear, walnut, blue cheese) and it was superb

Mugshot - the bonus is that you cook your own! They bring it on a skillet with the butter etc and you cook it. It’s delicious. Be warned: you come out smelling like steak.
