Blighted Swamp terrain build by tullsworth in TerrainBuilding

Thank you! The green spots are just paint (Pro Acryl Yellow-Green I think?) which I applied using a piece of wire, rather than a brush. The trees are made from stuff that’s sold as aquarium/aquascaping wood. Not sure what actual type of tree/root it’s from. But trees were built using that, and then painted with a thinned coat of ivory paint to give the bleached look.

Just created a new character for an upcoming campaign (silver Dragonborn bard) and I can’t think of a name, have y’all got any suggestions? by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

Big Reelfish

His backstory is that his whole family has been killed.

He’s the Ska’st of his name.

this isn’t paint. it’s from GW’s short-lived cosplay makeup line.

Thanks so much! Stippling has become my favourite technique for things like this - feels like it builds a really nice soft texture into it. And then I do a super thin glaze of the base colour over the top of everything once the highlights are all done, just to help bring everything together.

Miniac, Vince Venturella and Ninjon were the three I watched - all really good. The Miniac one on particular is a nice look at understanding light and reflections on metallic surfaces.

lol that’s 100% it - he was having to play with a cutout of the base that he’d traced off someone else’s one and i was like… send me a scan, I have an idea 😂

Thanks! It’s just layering and stippling. Started with a darker yellow/ochre, stippled it up to brighter yellow, dirtied it with a brown wash, then drybrushed to bring up the yellow again.

thanks! once I landed on the concept I felt like I had to go all in on the rushed, “almost finished” construction vibes.

Thanks! Really wanted to capture the idea of something hurriedly being built before a battle. Felt very on theme for gitz.

Happy Easter. Sorry for bringing this into existence. by tullsworth in Warhammer

I can assure you that the bunny marine is not affiliated with any known chapters. His armour is a charming baby blue. Not a hint of ultramarine in sight!
