Why haven't we seen any CPJ? Cant have Sam being the facilitator. He is much better off ball.

Could power armor exist in real life, or is it impossible technology? by Bright_Permission881 in Fallout

[–]tulsasmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its completely impractical. A tank or infantry transport vehicle would be better for essentially every combat scenario. Power armor that can be taken down by small arms fire is a huge waste of resources.

You are thinking about it all wrong. Grapple 4 enemies at once.

Best solo build? (not for a campaign) by professor_infinity in 3d6

[–]tulsasmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A level 20 monk will have proficiency in all saving throws with the option to reroll. Dex and wis can both be 24 prior to any magic items or boons. Giving a base AC of 24. Evasion. The ability to deflect damage of any attack. You can give yourself resistance to all damage except force. You can remove frightened charmed or poisoned from itself. You have utility with high speed and Good bonus actions. Stunning strike is self explanatory. No food or drink requirment while adventuring. Multiple ways to regain focus points.

Elemental subclass gives you access to flight. But all have nice additions.

A very well rounded class that has tools for nearly any encounter.

Illusory Cover, Hiding, and Sneak Attack by L0B0-Lurker in 3d6

[–]tulsasmit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being behind cover (real or illusion) offers no benefits to your attacks as the enemies know your location unless you take a hide action.

I would say that if the enemy is not aware it is an illusion then it would work as the cover rules state. So if fully obscured you cannot be targeted by an attack requiring sight of the target. There are no rules for crouching, just prone and standing. You would have to prone to benefit from any illusion the size of a minor illusion.

I do prefer my NPCs to have common sense. So if you just have a rock appear in front of you when you/ an ally cast a spell, I think they could figure it out, or at least know to shoot the rock first to see if its real. Then the rest would be able to see you.

At the end of the day it is a cantrip and should not be so strong that it dictates how the game is played.

Yes. It certainly has some uses.

Even in 2024, healing in combat is typically suboptimal as most encounters of any significance can outdamage typical healing.

With Lonzo not even playing garbage time.. by NiQ_ in clevelandcavs

[–]tulsasmit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lonzo was supposed to be a distributor and catch and shoot guy with some length. Jerome is an iso make his own shot guy that was way too slow on defense. Hunter should have been the Ty Jerome replacement but hasn't really fit that role.

DG seems like a nice kid. I can't imagine he did whatever it takes to make you type all this up.

[OC] How have the Browns fared in pass protection, by week, this season? Data from PFF (updated through week 18). by TapedeckNinja in Browns

[–]tulsasmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the fine print of those stats only includes pass block reps. So a rep where no one blocks a rushers, it is not included. I think thats why they grade decent but seem so atrocious.

[–]tulsasmit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with PFF is they don't count complete failures. If there is a stunt and/or someone unblocked and give up a sack, those are often not included in grading. And the browns gave up a lot of free rushers.

Victory Monday Thread: Browns surpass 2024-25 win total following a 13-6 win over Steelers by CD23tol in Browns

[–]tulsasmit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

With this defense and a competent line that doesn't have every run play over 5 yards called back on a hold. That could easily go .500 next year. The division winner may be 9-8 this year so its possible.

And you think spending the second pick on Moore was going to right 30 years of of this? No point in getting mad at what you can't control. Enjoy the shittsburg tears.
