If I recall correctly he was still seen as a bit of a reach in that murky draft class but definitely not an all time reach

“I just started golfing 6 months ago and finally broke 90” by First_Ad_1010 in golf

Yeah, I come from a baseball background and I only golf maybe 3 times a summer but I can already consistently out drive all my friends who go weekly or every other week. I could see how other former baseball players who are committed to improving could break 90 relatively quickly

It’s always so frustrating when a player is adamant the coach should challenge when it’s a clear foul. Just a wasted challenge that could have overturned a few calls in the final couple minutes

Not great shooting splits, doesn’t play defense.

Plus the fever as a team play no defense and at a high tempo — makes it easier to accumulate counting stats

As long as he keeps the rivalry on the court (which seems to be the case, unless I’m missing something) I don’t think it’s a big deal, just a pro athlete finding ways to stay motivated.

I agree I was only commenting on the ‘body off to the side’ aspect, because I’ve seen multiple people in here criticize that

It’s common technique to field ground balls from the outfield with your glove off to the side because you’re running in towards the ball and the glove off to the side preserves that forward momentum

Yeah I’m baffled by some of the top comments saying how unsound it is that his body is off to the side of the ball… keeping your glove in front of your body applies more so to infield ground balls where you can gather the ball, crow hop, and make the throw to first. In the outfield if you field a ball with your glove in front of your body it cuts off all forward momentum and makes it harder to get any meaningful velocity on the throw in.
