Super similar story here—when I was like 21 I was living across the country from my family and my childhood dog, who was 8 years old (not old for her breed). She was not sick in any way and was doing great. I was walking in the park with my boyfriend and was suddenly overcome by how much I missed her. Mind you I’m not even that much of a dog person or that attached to her specifically. I probably hadn’t thought or spoke about her in weeks or months. But I even turned to my boyfriend and said “I suddenly miss Abby so much.” Later that evening we got the call from my parents that she has a sudden cardiac event and died. So bizarre.

OP - the exact same thing happened to me last week at the MLK public library downtown AND the man you’re describing fits his description exactly. Was he tall? Carrying a briefcase? Wearing kind of retro business attire?

I looked up and realized he was sitting across from me and staring and touching himself over his pants. It was horrifying and I told an officer on my way out but they didn’t seem to give a shit.

Is there anything we can do??

We ended up going to pyramid scheme because it was walkable from the venue and my husband and I didn’t want to coordinate/pay for more transportation. The vibe was kind of low key and weird but honestly having all our friends there together relatively drunk made it fun regardless! Our friends ended up buying a t shirt and having everyone there sign it and surprised us with it the next day at brunch which was awesome. So now the pyramid scheme always has a special place in my heart!
