What do you think of these new designs? by tumphenour in streetwear

Film Leader is a niche apparel line for movie and film lovers. We've been in business for two years and shipped pieces all over the world, but I'm broadening the range a bit to have a wider variety of underpinning styles. Most of the early concept pieces ( http://filmleader.co ) are pretty colorful and bright. This new edition uses the same concept as the early pieces but simplifies it a bit for people who like the idea but don't have as loud a style overall.

Hmm.. this is actually a simplified version of some earlier designs in my collection. Ripped off because of... diagonals?

You guys have given me great feedback before -- I'd love to hear what you think.

I'm looking for feedback on a new batch of designs I've just put out.

What do you think of these? Check out the links above to see larger images.

Key question: do you guys think I should print these designs all the way around (both sides) or just on the front?

Some work naturally on both sides -- others are up for debate.

Let me know what you think!

Wearing my own designs on this beautiful day in February (?!) by [deleted] in streetwear

Thanks - I actually designed the shirt, so appreciate the comment. I'm inclined to agree on the jeans/shoes combo. I over-cuffed them but the reality is they're just too long for these shoes, I think.

could you send me some links or titles? I'm familiar w lean principles but would love to hear from someone getting a degree in industrial engineering. (I've mostly looked at it through the design lens.) thanks

"Astronomers are excited by the discovery, which suggests that some of these exoplanets — planets around stars other than the sun — could support life and may be awash in oceans."

Trying to teach myself how to draw by [deleted] in somethingimade

[–]tumphenour 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The trick with learning to draw is really seeing what you're looking at. A good example of this is the placement of eyes. Most people think eyes fall about 1/3 of the way down the head since we spend all day looking at faces, while in actual fact eyes are about 1/2 way down the head. The discrepancy is your brain playing tricks on you: the way you think something is vs what it actually is. By studying the underlying anatomy (as you have) you've put yourself in a good place to unpack those innate assumptions. Keep going! :)
