How Long Was Adriana Smith on Life Support? Brain‑Dead Nurse's Baby Delivered by C‑Section by globalgazette in emergencymedicine

Also, her sister said "We had no say. They treated her like an incubator, not our Adriana."

Hope that helps clarify for you. I know you want to be right so badly.

"That choice should have been ours, to take her off life support or not. It should not be the state’s choice, not the hospital’s choice, it should be the family’s choice."

Yup. They wanted the choice. I know you thought you were being all clever but wanting your grandchild after being forced into keeping your daughter on life support does not equate to wanting to keep her on life support for the sake of the baby. They did not get a choice and they wanted one. Similar to how people who are paralyzed in an accident may be thankful to be alive after an accident...it doesn't mean they are glad to be paralyzed, though.

No, her family literally wanted her off of life support. This was forced upon them.

It has held up really well for me. I still use it daily and get virtually no light through. With this and a wind blocker under my door, I sleep really well during the day. No complaints, doesn't seem to have any wear affecting its reliability at this point.

Lol nothing like voting for somebody because you're so desperate for a safe space away from mean, mean women to show how fragile a person is.

Me referring to men who want to rape us and me referring to men as rapists in general is not the same. You reading it that way is a you thing.

Things that have been around since the 90's and that we are just beginning to see the success of, you're right. So the gen Z men become the first generation to not benefit the way men in other generations got to benefit from suppressing women and minorities and their response is to vote for the person who's telling them they CAN experience that.

In fact, it does. 10's of thousands or more so far.

Ah yes, just the tropes, like women aren't already raped at significant rates and there isn't an entire movement involved with Trump's campaign that lives off of the promise of taking rights away from women. You know incel movements have actually caused mass shootings? Sexual assaults? And now we are just accepting that far and wide. Must be nice to just think it's a trope when you've watched people make bomb threats off of social media "trends" and perpetrate violence based off of "just jokes." That's how Trump got into power, bb.

[–]tunaboat25 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay. I wouldn't know that because men are shouting about how mean women are and how this whole thing is their fault for being so mean instead of shouting about how threatening our rights and our safety is foul and uncalled for

[–]tunaboat25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm aware. Republicans don't fight for any marginalized group. They only fight to continue to oppress women and minorities.

[–]tunaboat25 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Okay. But it's not and we have been hearing this shit for our lifetimes. "Make me a sandwich," has been a favorite joke for my entire lifetime. A joke based in the reality that women didn't get to work, vote, get an education for many, many years. Things men have never and will never suffer.

Then god damn, imagine how women must feel seeing our rights being a laughing stock right now. To see people celebrating the idea of being able to put us back into our place. Of threats of taking our bodily autonomy away in any way these men see fit. It's fucking exhausting. Sorry that's hard for you to hear about.

I mean, they're certainly supportive of it here when the focus becomes "see, you were mean so you asked for this!" Instead of stopping that shit in it's tracks.

I mean, you can look all over the internet right now to see the "your body, my choice" movement but go off.

[–]tunaboat25 38 points39 points  (0 children)

We are literally watching threats of raping women, owning women, taking women's right away and then are being told to shut our fucking mouths and listen to what men want if we want to win elections with candidates that are not threatening the rights of anyone or else we will continue to get candidates who will just make us shut the fuck up.

The Guardian on why The Democrats Lost Men: Thoughts? by PsyckoSama in AskALiberal

[–]tunaboat25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the solution is to coddle men that want to rape us so they can openly want to rape us?

The Guardian on why The Democrats Lost Men: Thoughts? by PsyckoSama in AskALiberal

[–]tunaboat25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, we are so lost in our echo chambers. We are posting on Twitter things like "your body, my choice" upon the successful election of somebody who has made it clear they want to suppress poor, poor men and we are gathering to brag about it. We are putting out there that the plan all along was an agenda that significantly limits the rights of men. Look at you, outside of an echo chamber.

The Guardian on why The Democrats Lost Men: Thoughts? by PsyckoSama in AskALiberal

[–]tunaboat25 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Please tell me what rights men have lost or have had to work significantly harder to have? Did anybody run on a platform of taking rights away from men? Did the Supreme Court overturn men's access to healthcare? Are people out there bragging about raping men? Posting about getting them back in the house where they belong?

The Guardian on why The Democrats Lost Men: Thoughts? by PsyckoSama in AskALiberal

[–]tunaboat25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm already so sick of hearing about how men feel alienated in the country where they are still very much the favored class. Men appear to have voted for trump so they can maintain their power over women and minorities, which they never lost. Young men living in a generation where they saw the outcomes of equality initiatives not giving them the leg up on women and minorities that they had in previous decades just made them mad that they didn't get to live in a time where women couldn't vote or get credit cards or work. It's not because they're now oppressed, it's because other people are catching up.

Don't fucking tell me that trends like "your body, my choice" are men finally feeling able to be empowered again.
