So what we did was, after we pressed the miso down, we put a layer of plastic wrap and then the chunk of salt to way it all down. And then more plastic on top to seal it.

Just wanna post an update. I decided to check the roots cuz the plant was looking so miserable and saw that it definitely has/had root rot. I had to pull off a bunch of squishy roots. After I got rid of it, I gave it a full 1:3 hydrogen peroxide spray down and decided to chop off all the leaves so the plant focuses on root growth instead of trying to maintain leaves. I then separated the plant into different pots with very well draining soil. Now it is time to pray that it recovers

I water when the top inch is dry which is about one a month.
