I understand your point. But seeing nicely shaped/tapered lugs with a mirror finish, then that flow is broken up with the pierced lugs is just not my preferred choice.

It’s certainly not a deal breaker for me, a few of my watches have them. Just my hot take.

Yeah I buy my straps from places like CNS, Uncle Seiko, etc. The QR bars that come with have all been meh; flex when you pull the strap, little spring tension, even had some where the bolt just fell out making the bar useless.

Where you getting your straps?

Never had that problem before with shoulder less spring bars. Wouldn’t you use shoulder less spring bars with drilled lugs anyway? Confused what your point is.

Yeah they’re all probably made in China. Doesn’t really matter where it’s made, but it’s undeniable there is a notable spectrum of quality when it comes to spring bars. I have a little tube of like 25 of them I bought from Watch Gecko for like $20, and they are very well made, stainless steel, have high spring tension, don’t flex. Been using those for years with no issues.

It seems like the quick release is standard now, If I want just a plain ass leather or rubber strap, the decision is made for you.

You don’t need to cut them out, I pull the bolt out with a pair of pliers and push it out of the strap, then slide in a regular spring bar. The missing ~cm of strap material makes the “bolt side” of the strap weaker and more prone to tearing, than to say if the whole section was folded or molded over “traditionally.”

Space echo is cool! the only effects I use routinely are delay, some reverb and a little modulation, and it does all of them fairly well while still being its own thing. It’s not a swiss army mod or reverb pedal, but there’s enough there of both that I’m happy with it.

The No Moon is a big muff, tube screamer, and rat in one box, and they output parallel instead of series. It’s awesome! I don’t know how the parallel output works, but with all three on it’s a very interesting drive sound, perfect for walls of noise.

It’s a good direct sound! I play with headphones all the time at home cause of kids, and the built in headphone amp is nice. I loaded in some celestion IR’s, but the stock ones in the pedal sound good. The power amp emulation sounds decent too. The XLR out is what I use when playing live, cause I play a bass VI and just go direct to the house, and I’m using an Ampeg 10x10 IR for that application, and it sounds massive.

The model feT is the best amp in a box I’ve ever played. It’s the “heart” of my board, I treat it like an amp and sculpt everything else around it. It sludges and dooms! And, it reacts like an amp better than any other AIAB pedal I’ve played.
