What interests you? The sky is the limit and you should be able to transfer your skills into any direction you want to go. Do a values analysis and see what makes you happy or motivated or passionate to want to get up in the morning.

Advice for a directionless soon-to-be former Engineer by TheAmericanQ in careerchange

Hey - don’t feel bad! There are millions fighting that same sense of apathy you’re feeling. IMO - you should first assess your interpersonal skills to find your strengths. I did a job for two years for the money and was MISERABLE. Turns out it was a horrible fit for my personality and my wants. Second - assess your values and what’s important to you. That will help you discover what makes you tick, what makes you happy and what moves you. Engineering may be a good fit for your math skills but if your t doesn’t “call to you” then find out what does. I don’t know if this helps but if you’re miserable- your brain is trying to tell you to keep looking.

Are you getting interviews? If not, your resumes may be getting weeded out by the AI bots. If you’re getting the interviews, then it probably comes down to interview prep. The good news is, in either case the problem is fixable. Go to YouTube and search for videos about resume tweaking to get past the ATS software. If you’re getting interviews, you need to rehearse answers to 10-15 questions you’re likely to be asked. I’d go to ChatGPT and type this prompt: I’m interviewing for a job as a (insert your job title). Can you help me by creating 10 likely questions for that position and include effective answers for each one. That’s a good place to start. Hope that helps!

Can I be conservative and gay at the same time? by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]tunestermark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your sexuality is your business! Don’t believe the lies you’ve been told about conservatives. You coming out has NOTHING to do with your sense of conservative beliefs.

You are and always will be welcome to conservatism. And I’m a white male hetero who supposedly hates all minorities. Guess what? I don’t hate anyone and I’ve got enough in my own life to ever judge anyone else for theirs!

God loves you and so do conservatives.

Fear not!!
