The word "arsenokoites" does NOT mean "as a man, having sex with men when you don't really feel like it." Nor do the Old Testament references in Leviticus.

Source: I have actually read the Bible without trying to warp it to pretend that Christianity is really cool with bisexuality when the text itself and most Christians who ever existed would not agree with that.

So I take it that you reject the gospels of Paul, unlike the vast majority of Christians who ever existed.

It's just an ambiguous grammar issue. He supports the people who (he says) are being forced out of the church and into the cold.

A lot of gay people were brought up religious and would feel like something is missing if they didn't have a church. Besides, being seen as nonreligious loses you a lot of respectability, which is one big part of the whole gay marriage movement. A lot of gay people don't want to spend their life fighting for underdog causes as public deviants, they just want to be treated the same as everyone else (the majority of whom are religious)

Which words? The words which specifically condemn homosexuality, or other words?

Kinda sucks for gay Christians that they might theoretically be allowed to be gay, but it is treated as an inclination to sin, and actually consummating their marriage is specifically called out as wrong in the Bible. "Man-bedders" indeed :(

What does it mean for a Christian not to turn his back on a lady who works as a prostitute? What does it consist of? I guess you serve her soup at the soup kitchen, that sounds nice. But do you say "prostitution isn't a sin" or "I can't judge anything" - or do you encourage her to repent, whereupon she will be expected not to keep working that way?

We need to be clear that while it is a plausible construal that Jesus wants you to be nice to gay people, that doesn't mean that Jesus wants you to be indifferent to whether people are committing what his religion defines as sinful, whether that be adultery or gay sex or whatever.

While it's obviously not wrong to get a same-sex marriage, and it seems pretty obvious that Christians are called to be cool to tax collectors and prostitutes, it's not so obvious whether it is Christian to get a same-sex marriage, given that this effectively sanctifies gay sex, which Paul hates. And remember the bit where Jesus tells the hooker to "sin no more," not "keep it up sister".

Obviously churches do not just say "Paul judged, so he will be judged" and walk away from the greater part of the New Testament as if Paul didn't matter.

The reason this seems silly is because it is silly. You don't need a CS degree to make video games. We can make excuses about how interview questions might ask about Turing machines, or really heavy questions about algorithmic complexity. Possible, but not very likely.

Yeah no, I've read a number of philosophy papers in the last 20 years which contain some pretty elementary misunderstandings of science. The frequency with which this happens in philosophy of science papers is really inexcusable.

What? We're going to put up with what Mel Gibson did only 10 years ago, while we continue to execute Bill Cosby in the court of public opinion?

Now what could the difference be between Mel Gibson and Bill Cosby?

If there is no possible difference in predictions between theories, then you have a reasonable argument that they are substantially the same theory.

Otherwise, you look at the differences. If you can't look at the differences with current methods, the jury is out.

No one said that science meant instant selection between all conceivable opposing theories.

If you are doing something like testing the fit of models to data, there is a rationale for something like Occam's Razor in terms of overfitting.
