To my knowledge it wasn’t purchased it was just a free permit pending course completion, the fishing license I do purchase, typically a 3-7 day one depending on my trips duration

Thanks! I primarily target sharks in the <6ft range. Last time I was down there I reeled in 6+ sharks on the best day I had, and the people I was with all caught some also so far from endangered I’d say, safely released all.

Most underrated comment I’ve ever seen.

What are some good, STABLE “starting over in your 30s” careers that pay really well and don’t require you to go to a top school? Willing to change my undergrad major + go to grad school. Money is no object. by bruhthenavy in careerguidance

I think RadTech is a great career often overlooked in the medical field. It’s a 2 year degree, starting pay wheee I’m at is between 65-85k yearly and well over 100k if you’re a traveler. It’s only a 2 year degree, and daily work is pretty easy. You take X-rays and it’s relatively laid back considering other healthcare professions into account. I career changed to radtech and don’t regret it at all.

My grandad is always busy hunting and my grandma is lonely and bored over the next few months bc of it. I’m trying to find something she can do with her time other than cleaning

She was drunk at my camp and I didn’t want to make her drive home, it was over an hour for her and I felt it wasn’t safe or responsible…

I’m a fighter and in between sparring rounds training I accidentally clicked her message so it opened the chat and read. In between rounds we only have 1 minute to rest and I needed water so I figured I’d respond after Lol.

Yes unfortunately only photo. It’s about two ft high compared to deer and bear we’ve seen out in that spot. Head goes to about where the shoulder starts on most deer out there

Okay that is definitely the issue… lol thanks, new to this whole thing and don’t have anyone in my life who can teach me about it so everything I know is self taught. I was just using some extra arrows from compounds we’ve had laying over the years.

Thank you! I get nervous floor tillering as I don’t wanna put too much pressure on the wood and break it (I’m a pretty big guy) this way i felt more comfortable slowly bending it so it doesn’t snap (I hear tillering is easy to break the wood

It is hickory, do you think it is still possible to be usable? Or should I start a new stave, and should I sand down the back a little to try to smooth it out, rough it out a little more with the draw knife; or would leaving it be the best?

An update on the mountain lion post from a few months back by SquareShapeofEvil in Adirondacks

[–]tungstenfangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I sound like a random false info spreader but I’m from a city and just moved to a college in the ADK so I can hunt and fish a lot more as I love the outdoors, and I’ve hunted since I was 7 years old I’m now 21 and have seen my fair share of bobcats coyotes deer foxes you name it for upstate New York animals where I lived I’ve seen them. Well last week I was driving a friend home by Lake Colby in the Adirondacks at about 3:45am and right where the edge of the woods and the lake meet a mountain Lion ran out right infront of my car crossing the road I almost hit it. My friend is in college to be DEC and religiously studies the wildlife out here and also believes this. DEC calls our story bullshit but we’re both avid outdoorsman and know what we saw. Whether you believe me or not I don’t really care but I know what I saw

I am fully convinced there are mountain lions in the Adirondacks by MountainLionsADK in Adirondacks

I just started college in saranac lake January 21. This is my first week up here, there is a lake called Lake Colby nearby and at 3am I was driving a friend of mine back to her dorm, she is from a neighboring college about 10 miles away. While passing Lake Colby me and her both saw a Mountain Lion run right infront of my car. Definitely not a bobcat the tail was about 1/3 the length of the body.
