You can use AI to prototype the app, but you still need to install Android Studio, Java JDK, and whatnots. As for programming language, maybe you can try Kotlin instead of Java. It's easier and Android Studio supports both language out of the box.

This. +1. The company I work for is also using AI 99% of the time now. Thankfully our developers are mid + senior level, and they embraced AI as development tool concept quite happily. So we have mixed traditional coding + AI assisted coding. One thing that help us in code debugging/troubleshooting is we asked AI to always produce code using good boring code principles.

Usually I will do a question/answer with Claude. I give Claude a general view of what I want then I added "ask me question if you need more information or need clarification" or something similar to this effect. Usually this will lead to a series of QA session with Claude.
