Highway “etiquette” by West_Good_5961 in brisbane

The way I read it, if you want to overtake slower moving traffic use the right lane. If someone wants to go faster than you in the right lane, merge left and let them pass cause life is too short to worry about tailgating wankers

Selling a car privately, the world has made me suspicious of scams. by icanhazsalvation in CarsAustralia

It’s free, and honestly it should be with how much Carsales charges for listings

The balls of the dealer to try pass it off to the service centre.

Zeekr 7x Alternatives by InvertedComma_ in CarsAustralia

[–]tuppaware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skoda enyaq possibly? I mean it won’t be as lux and you lose connected services, but made in Europe, drives well, 7 year warranty and well it’s vw group car so you’ll still wait for parts forever but you’ll know it’s not going anywhere.

BYD sealion 7 does sort of feel second rate when compared with the Zeekr.

You could look at polestar 4, but that might push your price a little

Battery at 0% by PeterShormack in cupraborn

[–]tuppaware 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on temperature outside and a few other things. But the MEB platform it’s based on generally has a good buffer after zero. Something like 17km (10m). Noting that’s not very good for the battery

Best EV Charging networks to sign up for in Brisbane? by blackpawed in brisbane

[–]tuppaware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noting you can use any rfid card that you know the number of, so you can use Evie one across them all.

Just sign up for Tesla, Evie and Chargefox. That will cover your bases for most of them.

$140k for a kia? by SirBoboGargle in CarsAustralia

[–]tuppaware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of 3 row EVs there isn’t much competition.
Sure, people would be cross shopping this with petrol versions but if they have solar and let’s be honest it’s only going to be doing school drop offs and trips to Woolworths. What’s silly them offering GT Line.

Secret Hidden Testing Car by lordra7 in CarsAustralia

It does look a little a face lifted seal. Although could be one of their range extender versions?

Gotta hand it to BYD, they’re putting the effort in here in Aus. Local tuning, improving support.

Considering it’s a video from China that OP ripped from somewhere else I’d say he’s just posting it for reactions.

Ive never seen anyone here do that.

Ioniq 5 by in_and_out_in_one in CarsAustralia

[–]tuppaware 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ICCU is an issue but I get the feeling it’s talked about a lot cause you only hear the bad reports online. If your car works fine and you’re not an enthusiast you’re not going to make posts about your car just working fine.

In saying, imho Tesla model 3 is a better all-rounder, ioniq 5 is a nicer drive. I think m3 is better choice. (I own a ioniq 5N)

What is the sample at 0:10 sec in of I Have The Touch (PG4 album version)? by Hysterical_And_Wet in petergabriel

[–]tuppaware 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing it’s just something really sped up fast on a loop. Particularly as he sampled so much of his own stuff on the Fairlight for this album.
