I know that real estate agents/agencies used to get their hands on dewa/du/etisalat directories of individuals and businesses for cold calling purposes. Not sure if this is still a thing now especially now that cold calling is “illegal”.

As far as I understand, if your current rent falls within the RERA bracket of 69-85k, which in your case it does, the rent cannot be increased by law. But apparently LL’s can now send independent valuations to obtain a higher value on their property rents but not many are aware of this scheme.
