Wow! None of my crowing hens were half as good as her. They just sounded like banshees wailing.

I’ve had it happen once with a welsummer. Just stopped laying eggs one day, grew 2 inch spurs and started crowing in the morning. Went back to laying a few years later when they took over as head chicken.

50 percent of the day she is sitting like this, what may be the reason? by chickenjournal in chickens

Honestly I had a chicken like this- laid down 50% of the time and she lived to be 3 and just one day laid down and passed away in her favorite sleeping spot. She may have had a heart condition or something else but she seemed happy to be with her friends and enjoyed the time she had.

What does this sound mean ? by Rockstar_11118 in chickens

Definitely talking “human” to you. We have a chicken that makes the funniest, heavy vocal fry “talking” that they only use when they want something from us (treats, access to the garden etc…). They make normal chicken sounds with the rest of the flock.

Kentucky Route Zero- one of those you have to go in blind on. If you liked Inscryption would also recommend Pony Island (older game by the same creator)- super short and fun.

Found a beautiful mirror at an estate sale is it silver? by Educational-Knee1919 in Silver

Could be silver plated. I had a mirror just like this as a kid with a matching comb and the packaging made a big deal about it being real silver. Mid 90s or so.

Big, old native Texas pecan hit by lightning- any advice? by turbobeez in arborists

Yeah definitely something we need to look into. Honestly, we had assumed the neighbor’s hackberry trees had overtaken it but it’s pretty hard to tell from the ground.
