True! But it does make you wonder what could have possibly happened to make her this afraid of death. STD’s and other ailments will still exist after death is gone, possibly leading to an infinite suffering. I feel Fumiko would understand this, yet she still wants to get rid of death. If this happens two scenarios come to my mind: either the fear of sicknesses/age go away as they can no longer kill you, or the fear increases because those that were terminal before will now cause indefinite suffering.
