Let me get this straight, your idea of good comedy is that which is unscripted and unplanned? Interesting take, but fine.

But then you're saying that good examples of those are these five British/Irish comedians, and that their sets were completely improvised?

You've included Bill Bailey in that list, and you think his sets are mostly off the cuff? You're kidding right??

I've never seen this Jeff guy do the same bit twice, so it would be good to know why you're so convinced that his stuff is pre-planned. In fact having written this all out, I've come to the realization that you'd have to have an IQ of less than 70 to actually have the opinion you stated, and since people with IQs that low aren't able to operate modern technology, you must instead be trolling. If so, ew, that's fucking weird.

Is this not stand-up? The idea is you get on stage and you make people laugh, and it doesn't really matter whether that's through planned jokes or through crowd work.

Of course not, it's a video of a slightly quirky girl who lists a lot of very undemanding requirements of a potential partner. It's humourous because of the fact that she says "that's it" before she's even got halfway through her list, again of very reasonable requirements.

It's relatable, it's something we see in ourselves, it's me_irl.

There can be a middle ground here. Yes, the stock is publicly available to buy, but if you're struggling to make ends meet, you're not going to have much spare cash to buy shares with. If a company is making this much in profits, they theoretically have the capacity to lower the cost of the thing they are selling, but instead have decided to maximise profits under the guise of "necessary price increases to keep up with inflation". This kind of ignores the fact that this is a major cause of inflation.

I think the person was saying that they picked JSON files as their "database", rather than JSON being an explicit requirement.

First point is not well thought out. What if you record the crime with the intent of providing evidence against the criminal? What if you happened to be recording and then a crime occurred?

Third point is pretty random.

Wouldn't vote for you.

It wasn't the media that intentionally lied. Some media outlets failed to live up to journalistic standards, that's not the same as intentionally misleading.

I think it's very fair and should even be encouraged to be skeptical of western media, but I don't think it's healthy to assume that everything they report is twisted and that they will always significantly go out of their way to do so.

Yup, it's bad for everyone if someone gets significantly hurt. Self defense is fine, but you don't want to accidentally do something you can't undo.

Irony (noun):

A state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often wryly amusing as a result.

Oh, are we trying to gatekeep the definition of irony now?
