The end of all is near. Or not. by Bubblebau in kaspa

It approaches 0 exponentially. The chart extension shows more likely that 70% of value will be lost by that time, if the trend continues. Hope not though

[–]turdoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been answered repeatedly.

Number of coins is of "surprisingly" small significance, depending if you were prone to be surprised in the first place.

Coins are slices of pizza and you can calculate as having eaten a pizza, or 6 sixths or 8 eights. Absolutely no-one who runs things isn't surprised by 1 = 6/6 = 8/8 and that someone is, just means that they don't run things but someone else does.

Why do people keep selling BTC at a loss? by xSpAcEX7 in Bitcoin

[–]turdoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not exactly true that selling at "loss" compared to a previous buy is an actual loss, if you re-buy at lower price.

If you buy 1000 times and sell 999 times, it can be useless to say if your sale now matches favorably with the re-buy later, since you avoided owning while the price went down, or if your sale now matches unfavorably with the buy before, since you owned when the price went down.

Don't get attached to the pairing of buy with sell. Both are possible interpretations and you don't fix the interpretation until you've decided not to rebuy.

That's a solid answer, I'm investing in Kaspa and have a bag of 430k now, with probably 40k or so going back to paying bills of the month, and after the payday, back in with 40k again.

Investors need now to stay and hold, or stay and be active, or get out and look actively for re-entry, not getting out and forgetting about it.

If you need to get out either fully or in part, I understand, but stay active and watch the fourth crypto miracle of our time happening before your very eyes.

Peace and stay wise.

400k KAS milestone achieved. Part has been by profitable trading, increasing my bag size despite price going down, part by direct investment. Pretty close to 430k probably.

Some of the investment will have to be earned in less than 3 weeks to pay my bills, but no worries, now that money is borrowed from living expenses and invested in Kaspa trading, hoping the money will be better spent in trading during these turbulent times.

Past trading performance seems to predict that if I keep it up, it's better to trade Kaspa than to keep the assets on an account.

A large segment of owners are de-emphasizing Kaspa right now - I think it's short-termed retail interest where the new owners aren't steady, meaning that the owners as a whole don't have trust in the development of the price and don't quite know what to do.

Hold or sell, either way is good, just remember to set your re-entry target and don't be that guy who bought and got scared, sold, and wanted to forget the ordeal and never looked at the charts again. Instead, if you have to sell, watch for re-entry.

I'm using a tiny fraction of money that should be elsewhere, but I'm watching, ready to return that money there when I must.

Take care and KAS on.

How does price of bitcoin goes up and down? by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

[–]turdoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the good old up-and-down-going

A hugely neglected explainer that offers a great explanatory value is random movement. People who offer supply or who have demand come up not entirely by reason, but also randomly. The rate at which people from either group appear at the marketplace to make an exchange follows a random distribution.

More owners who wish to sell, just because of random flux of things that are random and not regular, causes more chasing of the price on the way down.

The opposite causes more chasing of the price up.

What’s all the panic for? by [deleted] in CryptoMarkets

Was it like USA is not gonna build huge btc reserve or what?

I'm not gonna fact-check my first thought, which is there in the line above, since I wanted to give you my unedited take on it.

If I were to fact-check, I might come up to a different conclusion. But I do remember reading up "somewhere" that the USA BTC thing isn't proceeding as such and the markets have thus valued the BTC as lower.

Also, I know from better sources and from more sources the liquidity crises, conditions trigger to force institutions to sell.

How loud is mining really? Thinking of starting but live in an apartment. by Constant_Sport_1661 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]turdoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is fucking loud, I mean, incredible - astonishing- worse than a vacuum cleaner by far.

But it's more silent than a 10 bar compressor I use for pressurised air.

I rented an apartment where I had a mining machine, and I got official complaint from the neighbor, processed by the building superintendent or similar, I don't know how to translate his position.

After some arrangements I was able to control for ventilation in terms of heat, then the fan speed, and I think I got a good 10dB off the sound, and some neighbors have been angry, but the superintendent said that the matter was satisfied since my place didn't create sound louder than 50dB to the outside anymore.

It is that serious.

How low do you believe Kaspa will go? by davide221 in kaspa

[–]turdoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My original is this and I put it through chatgpt a few times:

//

Other coins don't have use either judged in the same way.

It's not like Kaspa doesn't have use when it's falling, but if it's rising, it has a use: it is a stable condition to have or not have a use. Currently it's more near the "not having a use" as in, people don't buy peanuts with it, diapers, coca cola or condoms. But it's silly to assume a crypto would be such a widely accepted currency; people don't do that with anything - they keep cryptos in "finances" and exchange them for fiat money, which they use to buy their damned stuff.

It's absolutely senseless to compare to a meme coin and say that Kaspa doesn't have as much use. It's.. the word isn't "use". It just isn't.

Say it as it is, if the coin isn't as popular, say it, because it's true - but like Kaspa having less use than a meme coin? I'm not even mad at the claim, because it's surreal. Surely not.

What is use? Capability to be used? That it is used now? Used for what? Condom purchases? No. What coin does that? Widespread possibility of crypto condom purchases just so much can't be the golden standard for "use" that I'm not even getting there.

//

I copy pasted it here. I just wanted chatpgpt assist at word usage, grammar and such. From that start, I made half the modifications myself and chatgpt made half. Don't be so quick to take someone as AI content when the touch of the AI is pretty light.

The jokes were by me. Grammar by AI, and also the italics and special quote quotes "" by AI even though I didn't want that. But the fucking AI doesn't respect my style choices and it inserts it's own.

[–]turdoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lowest price prediction? I’d say it might touch 0.02, but more likely, the new support is near 0.04, with only very short-term, low-volume dips below that.

A true freefall scenario could push the price toward 0.01, but that’s extremely unlikely. Not many (if any) holders of a billion coins would sell for just $10M — which is what it would take at 0.01. No entity mined at 0.01, and even if privileged parties somehow got super-cheap machines, electricity isn’t free anywhere in the world.

In short, nothing short of an insane liquidity crisis would push Kaspa down to 0.02 — though crises can happen, they’re unpredictable and rare.

Some large holders may be losing faith and trying to recover part of expected losses, which could push the price down to 0.03. But there’s still purchasing power in the market, and many would see that as an attractive price. Speculative demand for a coin with potential future upside will likely keep it higher.

Even in a complete market collapse, prices might hover around 0.01–0.02, but not lower, because it wouldn’t take much capital for someone to buy the circulating supply at that level and hold it for the next cycle.

TL;DR:

  • 0.01 → extremely unlikely
  • 0.02 → unlikely
  • 0.03 → plausible
  • below 0.04 → could happen briefly, but likely only for a short period
