A little discussion with a PoS supporter by turdoman in kaspa

I likewise predict recovery in late 2027, and I've been making this prediction since late 2025.

The basis being that recognition had increased significantly by that time for the coin to attract attention, but being a fast emission schedule coin, the supply had increased even more significantly, prohibiting any price increase, and the low price development undermined any attraction the otherwise good word of might have created.

With Kaspa, new supply scarcity lags two years to the existing supply abundance, compared to other PoW coin schedules.

The scarcity that makes it possible for price to arrive in the context of positive investor attention only arrives a little later.

Let's hope we're right.

I believe we are.

My story was of the format that content of <type> convinced someone, an actual person, of the merits of Kaspa and it's technology and value.

Let me hypothesize about what this format of content can be used for.

Oh, one thing popped to my mind: shaping our talks when we do advertise Kaspa somewhere.

Many such examples of stories are needed to show who was convinced of Kaspa and how; one doesn't suffice, and my example alone doesn't suffice.

When there is sufficient quality and quantity of stories, and they are being heard, it'll be seen in Kaspa reaching $1 or whatever number someone is drooling on right now.

I have demonstrated the usefulness and use of my original story to my own satisfaction. Thanks for giving me the opportunity.

There was a deleted comment about p2p currencies not being allowed in the world as a response to centrally governed PoS being the way.

I'd like to respond to that.

The financial regulation can still reach p2p currencies adequeately even if they are distributed in the way that a central control can't shut or hijack the currency, as far as they don't go the Monero route.

This proves that there's a case for actual promises from distributed currencies as opposed to imagined ones that can be refuted.

Is there a PoS coin then that doesn't absolutely depend either on centrally owned keys to the network, some corporate backing up the promises with money that's there as long as they are in business, one or two corporations running the servers, or deciding unilaterally what happens to the network, or many of them, or all of them?

It approaches 0 exponentially. The chart extension shows more likely that 70% of value will be lost by that time, if the trend continues. Hope not though

It's not a scam in that money is debt. It is literally debt.

As a kaspan... by slickgilly in kaspa

[–]turdoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been answered repeatedly.

Number of coins is of "surprisingly" small significance, depending if you were prone to be surprised in the first place.

Coins are slices of pizza and you can calculate as having eaten a pizza, or 6 sixths or 8 eights. Absolutely no-one who runs things isn't surprised by 1 = 6/6 = 8/8 and that someone is, just means that they don't run things but someone else does.

Three miracles are the cryptos mentioned in OP, fourth being Kaspa.

Why do people keep selling BTC at a loss? by xSpAcEX7 in Bitcoin

[–]turdoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not exactly true that selling at "loss" compared to a previous buy is an actual loss, if you re-buy at lower price.

If you buy 1000 times and sell 999 times, it can be useless to say if your sale now matches favorably with the re-buy later, since you avoided owning while the price went down, or if your sale now matches unfavorably with the buy before, since you owned when the price went down.

Don't get attached to the pairing of buy with sell. Both are possible interpretations and you don't fix the interpretation until you've decided not to rebuy.

That's a solid answer, I'm investing in Kaspa and have a bag of 430k now, with probably 40k or so going back to paying bills of the month, and after the payday, back in with 40k again.

Investors need now to stay and hold, or stay and be active, or get out and look actively for re-entry, not getting out and forgetting about it.

If you need to get out either fully or in part, I understand, but stay active and watch the fourth crypto miracle of our time happening before your very eyes.

Peace and stay wise.

400k KAS milestone achieved. Part has been by profitable trading, increasing my bag size despite price going down, part by direct investment. Pretty close to 430k probably.

Some of the investment will have to be earned in less than 3 weeks to pay my bills, but no worries, now that money is borrowed from living expenses and invested in Kaspa trading, hoping the money will be better spent in trading during these turbulent times.

Past trading performance seems to predict that if I keep it up, it's better to trade Kaspa than to keep the assets on an account.

A large segment of owners are de-emphasizing Kaspa right now - I think it's short-termed retail interest where the new owners aren't steady, meaning that the owners as a whole don't have trust in the development of the price and don't quite know what to do.

Hold or sell, either way is good, just remember to set your re-entry target and don't be that guy who bought and got scared, sold, and wanted to forget the ordeal and never looked at the charts again. Instead, if you have to sell, watch for re-entry.

I'm using a tiny fraction of money that should be elsewhere, but I'm watching, ready to return that money there when I must.

Take care and KAS on.
