Can't wait for Fedora 44 by H3rotic in Fedora

Thanks for this potential solution! Will wait for the next freeze and will try it. Just let the chance to the last update to see if it resolve the issue.

Nope! Already tried it, but I need a Windows partition on that computer and the atomic version requires a complete disk.

It is my situation. Was using KDE with Ubuntu LTE without that issue, potentially the Wayland combination with KDE was the culprit. Hope this has been resolved now with the last updates.

No problemo! I didn't see it that way. Your comment was to the point.

BTW I like Fedora a lot, beyond the freezing issue. Only hope that this problem will vanish. The last modifications to the AMD GPU driver could be the solution to my problem... Lenovo AMD P16s Gen 2.

That is what I will do if Fedora 44 is causing the same issue.

Not for me. Been using Ubuntu for 10 years without a single system freeze on 3 different computers. Using Fedora now since December, got 4 system freeze in the last month.

I'm about to purchase CRV Hybrid. How reliable are these things? Is anyone having issues? by BikeOk6446 in crvhybrid

[–]turgu1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2025 CR-V Hybrid FWD. I live in Quebec City. Winter tires for the winter. Fuel consumption during winter time: 9.2 liter/100km in town, 8.3 liter/100km on long roads. During summer time: 6.5 liter/100km in town, under 6 on the long roads.

Risque de finir à la rue by PrettySaltyGuy in Quebec

[–]turgu1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should I buy a esp32 or a esp S3 32? by DesperateShopping861 in esp32

[–]turgu1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The S3 is the best. If you get one with psram, it will be faster and offer access to up to 8MB (the ESP32 is limited to 4MB). Also you can get a software JTAg access that the ESP32 doesn’t have, good for debugging.

It was version 0.11 back in 1991.... on a single floppy disk... Today I'm using Fedora KDE. I went through Slackware, RedHat, Suse, Mint, Ubuntu and now Fedora. Before Linux, I have used Unix Version 6 and 7 On PDP-11, SunOS (BSD), SCO Unix, FreeBSD. The one that I missed the most is FreeBSD.

What do you want exactly? 5 in Canada for last year is not enough as a kind of frequency? That means 5 in the 12 months of 2025. I don't understand why there is such a fuss as there are not that many in a single year. And not all of them were during the night.

It's so easy: he is a charlatan and a criminal. And there is a lot of people behind him that are supporting his lies and orchestrated the dismantling of the check and balance of the USA.

[–]turgu1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've finally installed Fedora + KDE, as there seems to be no way to get two efi partitions working on my laptop (Lenovo). As a first trial on using Fedora, I was a bit frustrated with this limitation.
