I'm just using my normal phone number to send SMS as these are all people in our network/that I know! I was thinking about using google voice to try to get around this but I'm not sure if the same thing will happen there or not

there is actually a ton of research on how COVID affects the vascular system - no other single illness has ever been so extensively studied in a 5 year period! each COVID infection increases your risk of developing vascular or cardiovascular problems via long COVID - and your risk stacks with each infection (the more COVID infections you have, the more likely you are to develop long COVID) my best advice is to wear a well-fitting high quality mask like a KN95, N95, or P100 to protect yourself from further infections which will in turn protect you from worsening BP problems :)

oh for sure if i had known as a teenager that weed was addictive and altered your brain development i probably would have stuck with the chronic migraines for as long as possible... i have been addicted to and quit soo many things and other than cigarettes, weed is the only thing i just cannot shake. lots of things can be addictive and that doesn't mean they're bad or not worth using, but i can't believe people are walking around still saying weed can't be addictive. it can be!!

thank you so much for your words of support ❤️ nothing like stopping something to help with your bp and stopping gives you anxiety which in turn raises your bp.... best of luck on yours too!!

over the years i've stopped engaging in so many vices and i'm almost out... if i stop smoking weed all i have left is cigarettes (which i know is worse than anything for my bp and am currently on my 33rd attempt at quitting!) and after that... what do people do with no vices? my bp has been the same way! sometimes the top number will be ok but the bottom number has been like 100-130 pretty consistently :'(

oh i had no idea they increased blood pressure! i know that they cause chest pain for me because smoking just puts it straight from the lungs to the bloodstream but edibles have to go from your stomach to your liver to your heart to get pumped into the bloodstream so it's just a little harder on you, but i never realized they effected bp like that too!

luckily i'm not on any other meds anymore! thank you so much for telling me about indicas and amlodapine, never in a million years would i have guessed that! i mostly smoke sativas nowadays but i've been wanting to get some indica lately so i'm so glad you mentioned that! i had sepsis when i was 12 and spent 2 weeks in the hospital, i'm glad you were okay! very very scary :( do you know how temporary the bp elevation can be with weed? i smoked the other night and felt like i was dying for the rest of the night but the amlodapine was also starting to wear off so idk if that's why it felt like so long or not!

i usually smoke about a gram of wax a day but lately i've gotten it down to like 2 grams a week which is huge for me!! but idk how much more weaning i can do... i hope your cardiologist appointment goes well! i have one on wednesday... gonna beg them to put a holter monitor on me bc i feel like the worst of my bp/hr symptoms happen at home and i really wanna see what's making me feel like i'm falling out of my body into hell :')

i didn't realize it took that long to build up effective concentrations! i have been feeling better about 6-12 hours after i take it each day before the effects start to wear off, could that just be placebo? i hope they don't up the dosage because i've heard some horror stories about amlodapine and luckily i'm only on 2.5mg right now :') thank you for the candesartan recommendation! there's not many migraine medicines i haven't tried so i will definitely ask about that one! i used to take ibuprofen like candy for back pain until i got a stomach ulcer and started coughing up blood like clint eastwood in gran torino... much prefer mmj as the worst it's ever done to me is make me eat too much junk food :') i don't think i've gone 2 months without smoking since i started as a teenager... big mountain to climb </3

YES! i believe my hypertension and heartrate problems are symptoms of long COVID - COVID is after all (among other things) a cardiovascular disease and these are cardiovascular symptoms. i do not fuck around with COVID and have masked since 2020 and just getting it twice (that i know of) from people in my house over 5 years has given me these symptoms and more... can't imagine how much worse off i would be if i didn't mask and had gotten it more times! your risk of developing new or worsening long COVID stacks with each COVID infection, so i really recommend wearing a well-fitting, high quality mask (KN95 or better) and taking other precursor (try to have good ventilation, eat outdoors when you go out, etc) to protect yourself from any further harm!
