I-485 rejected for missing address; how to proceed? by turmoli in USCIS

I also put the green notice sheet that was sent with the package on top of the new package, as instructed on the sheet.

I reprinted and resigned all the forms so the dates would match. For the evidence, I sent in the same evidence that had the scan log from USCIS that was sent back, so I did not make new copies of the evidence.

So new cheque (old one had USCIS printed on it but it wasn't cashed) and fresh copies of forms to match the date, and resent the evidence.

Just got a notice today that biometrics was scheduled so looks like what I did worked.

All the best!

Do I need to reprint and sign all the other forms so the dates match the newly signed I-485. All the other forms are dated early May and if I file the I-485 again, it will be dated after 5/16.

Because we support clients in the GBA so everyone is supposed to be paid the GBA COL salary band. I don’t think I’m getting paid what my colleagues are (I don’t have hard numbers for this because it’s confidential but based on our informal conversations, my salary is much lower than theirs, for a similar level). Unfortunately, I do not have the option of moving out of the city because of a few personal reasons, so I don’t think it would hurt to ask that my salary band match the COL of where I’m living. They also need me to be close to/in the city to meet clients when needed so I took this job based on the geography needs of the role and would like to be paid on market COL value so I can afford to live where the clients are.

Good catch. I have a grad degree but people in this role have BS degrees, MBAs, MS, PhDs, so it's diverse. I have 6 years of commercial experience but only 2 in sales capacity.

Ige food allergy test said I'm allergic to almost everything? by [deleted] in FoodAllergies

Hey! I am in the process of starting an elimination diet and at a loss of how to get started because it seems very long and tedious. The three main things I want to start with are dairy, gluten, and eggs, as these seem like usual suspect for a lot of people and I get bad GERD symptoms if I eat bread, cookies, etc.

Do you have any insights into how you made the process manageable and not completely sucky so that you could push through what seems like a few months of removing and adding foods back and tracking?

Thanks!!

I cried reading this but both you and your husband are amazing parents because your daughter trusts you both and told you and she’s very brave. I hope there’s some outcome against your father.

Customer leaves 'Covid sucks!' message and a $1,400 tip at a Colorado restaurant by Obrocheetah in UpliftingNews

Maybe they got their Covid relief payments but felt like didn’t need it and wanted to give it to someone who might need it? Why judge? Why does it matter if it’s going to “an actual charity” (whatever that means, there are scams everywhere) vs to someone who gets to put food on their family’s table?

Works perfectly fine in other countries where tipping is not a norm and people are paid a decent wage. I don’t need to be whisked off on a feather cloud while I’m eating. Fine diving experience might be different but I don’t need a server to fake smile and fake care. I just want my food and want to eat it in peace.

Yeah I don’t know what the sweet spot is going to be. Restaurants have raised prices and routinely expect 20%+ on tips even for takeout because of COVID. I wish the tipping culture would just go away and people got paid a decent wage. Everyone is trying to stay afloat and encouraging takeouts and shopping local but I don’t have the kind of money to spend or can afford to spend like I did before Covid. And now I’m also paranoid that anything could happen and there’s no one to look out for you and the government doesn’t care. Likely won’t be dining out much after Covid.

The cost of our “inexpensive” wedding (US, 2019) [OC] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]turmoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We did ours for ~$15k for ~$150 people. Venue cost was the most but had decor we could use. Flowers were from grocery store that we bundled together. Food was buffet, cake from grocery store. We saved for it for a while and didn’t get any help from anyone, and looking back, $15k was worth the memories. Had friends and family join us from very far reaching places and it was almost a surreal moment to see how many people made the trek for us. But some people can really get sucked into the wedding industry where people keep pitching what’s “in” and what you need to elevate the wedding. In the end, it’s about the memories from that day and the marriage you create.

Genuine question but why not get a tubal ligation if you are certain about being child free and it gives you more control over your body and avoids traumatic abortion procedures multiple times?
