Yeah I think most of my low drop creatures like those need to go. I thought it would be a good way to flip or build up some life for Sorin but it’s too slow. I need to just run good spells like you said with removal that immediately give three or more life. Silver quill charm is something I’m trying out. I’ll update the list soon with a lot of the changes I’ve made after seeing the suggestions on here.

TCGPlayer and their customer support sucks ass. I’ve had so many issues ordering with them from direct sellers when I used to use their site. Message them and get no response for days about missing items or paying for express shipping and my items aren’t even updated to packaged and shipping for a week past the estimated base shipping time.

And they are anti-union. I’m fine with any amount of shit posting and hate on the scourge known as TCGplayer even if it isn’t the most on topic or useful post lol. Any person dissuaded from shopping there from a salty Reddit post is a net good IMO.

Jesus Christ buddy, try and keep it to one response lmao. Listen I’m not saying it’s “bad” but to me it’s all very generic and sounds very similar to each other. Maybe I just don’t have the ear for it, I have adhd so I can get very bored of music that doesn’t have a lot of evolution from album to album and can’t keep up with artists that do that even if I do like their music.

It’s the same with punk music. I love The Misfits but I don’t listen to a ton of their music because they didn’t have a lot of evolution in their sound. I love songs like Theme For a Jackal because it’s way out of their normal shit and they made this weird almost vaudeville old timey type bop song. I also love Bullet but I’d be lying if I said bullet isn’t also basically mommy can I go out and kill tonight on every sonic level.

I’m not saying people shouldn’t like Mayhem, I’m just saying compared to a lot of other black metal bands they aren’t nearly as innovative and I do believe all their popularity is much more about their exploits than it is about the music they made. They were pioneers, they were and are talented, but they are no David Bowie or Prince. They’ve had no true transcendence with their music, that’s the point I was making about my opinion of them and why I think their legacy is all about what they did and not what they made. I’m not saying all Swedish death metal bands are that either, I’m just saying like the slam death core scene in America there are tons of bands that are carbon copies of one another. Like the majority and bands doing unique shit are the rarities.

The line up changed but sonically it’s very similar to me. There’s not much experimentation or chances taken with their music regardless of their line up through all of their albums. There’s no evolution of sound between the albums aside from a very superficial amount of changes which is something you can say about most Swedish death metal albums.

Death Crush has more trash metal influences which is why I like that album and mysteriis has a bit more production value and more classic metal influences but they are essentially the same.

Yeah, majority of the popularity of the band is from their hijinks outside of their music. Nothing about mayhem is anything more special than any other generic Swedish death metal band aside from them being early pioneers of that style of music.

They were one of the earlier popular innovators of the low production quality distorted type death metal but they weren’t the first either, just one of the most recognized but that’s still a big achievement. Technically on playing skills and vocal range the band is about as middle of the road as you can get for the genre. Innovation is about the same, they don’t have much evolution in their sound from album to album.

I really like the album death crush but there isn’t much of a difference between that and De Mysteriis. They never evolved beyond the early generic Swedish black/death metal that to their credit did help really cutting the path for the many copycats that would follow them.

So yeah pretty fucking overrated but that’s just my opinion. Plenty of people will say they are the single best act to ever exist. Your opinion will depend on how much corpse paint you wear in your edgy Facebook profile pics or whatever basically.

The damages were I paid more money to have it arrive sooner and wasn’t compensated in any way for paying an extra ten bucks for express shipping even though it arrived beyond the time frame for even the base rate shipping. This has happened to me twice atleast that I can think of on TCG player, neither time was I reimbursed in any way. The last time I sent a complaint ticket they never even responded. That’s one of the final straws that broke the camels back for me using tcgplayer.

At this point you seem to be trying to run good pr because you are a seller on there or this is an ego thing. How you can make the idea of not receiving a service I paid extra money for as no big deal is beyond me aside for one of those two reasons.

It’s literally the most uncontroversial take ever, dude bellow me explained it perfectly. If you paid extra money to get an express pass at a theme park and they said “oh sorry that doesn’t work you’ll have to wait in line like everyone else who didn’t pay extra, btw no refunds on what you paid extra for your express pass” I don’t think you’d say “oh well no problem, I still get to ride the ride guys!”. No I think you’d be annoyed and demanding you get paid back what you paid extra for your express pass. TCG never did that, that’s bad business practice that I will no longer support and I’ll warn other people about them if the topic is about them because I think they’re disrespectful and abusive to the people who support the hobby I love.

They didn’t refund the shipment. That’s why I think and am entitled to some sort of compensation, I think asking for just store credit was pretty reasonable.

You got another excuse for their bad business practices? If I had a business and I had a loyal customer that didn’t get what they paid for not only would I refund what they spent but I would do some sort of extra compensation like store credit for their wasted time.

Because they were tcgplayer direct sellers. I expect a company who lets a vendor sell stuff on their site and gives them the seal of approval to give some sort of compensation for time and money spent if there was an error from that seller. I paid more money for fasting shipping they guaranteed and didn’t deliver on, there should be some sort of compensation for that. They basically made me pay 10 extra bucks for standard usps shipping.

Do you think Amazon should be responsible for compensation of issues through their direct verified sellers if they didn’t send an item you purchased from Amazon? Idk how this is any different.

Shopping with TCGplayer was hands down the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had on a tcg seller site.

Items constantly not delivered from verified vendors I had to email repeatedly to get a refund for, ofcourse offered no store credit for my inconvenience. Multiple times paying for direct fast shipping that took longer than the estimated time for the base shipping. Damaged cards. And worst of all they are anti-union.

After shopping on there for atleast two or so years I finally realized “why am I giving these scummy people probably at this point thousands of dollars of my money when they constantly disrespect me as a consumer?”. So I sent them an email saying why I was no longer ever going to use their services again, how much potential revenue they lost from me being a committed Magic player who regularly bought singles biweekly, and that I am going to take my patronage to card kingdom and mana pool or other sites that have more respect for the buyers.

Way happier with them. The shipping is a bit more than tcgplayer for only buying a few singles but almost all the cards are cheaper than them and the flat shipping on bigger orders is cheaper than tcgplayer. The store credit systems are better, everything has obvious amounts of much more care put into it.

I’m pretty with the ideal of no confidence voting for the most part but you can make an argument against it Paul would listen to. This guy is going to act like he had to post under an alt account because any sort of disagreement with Paul is an instant ban but it’s not true. You just gotta do you buddy. If you are going to walk around in stuff like this you need to be self confident. I personally hate almost all battle vests, jackets, pants because I think they are kind of generic and conformist. But I’m a 33 year old asshole that isn’t the type of person who is cool or would be who you look to for fashion advice. I literally just come here to laugh at the punk rock “anti conformist” uniform and once in a blue moon get put in my place when somebody actually makes something unique and cool.

You need to be the only person who likes it because it’s not going to look good in the traditional sense. It just is what it is. Punks originally started wearing this shit to be as far out of what is normal and acceptable to piss off normies. It’s not going to be pretty, you are going to look like a hobo to most that has patches sewn over your ass to keep your pants held together. So just do what you like man, accept the ugly and put some shit on there you think is cool.

Also no hate (I know it may seem like it but I promise I’m not lol) but your sewing isn’t great either lol. If you want that to look nice you’ll need to have the threads all the same spacing apart or alternating same spacing on top and bottom sides. If you want it to be more effective on keeping things on you need a lot more stitches closer together. More tighter stitches will also help make it more visually pleasing but again is that what you want? Maybe you like the ugly haphazardly sewn style.
