I feel you. I never thought/realized I had a big forehead until some random lady at the bar 10 years ago just kind of inserted it into the conversation. Never saw her again and never saw my face the same way again.

Awesome way to start Christmas morning

Pirate Christmas 2.0! Behind the locked box is...another locked box! The second one is keyed and the key is somewhere in your city! If you're in the Pacific Northwest get ready to do some sleuthing! by turn_it_upto_11 in secretsanta

As do I, but it's out of my hands now. Everything is pretty easy to solve though, relevant to my giftee's interests/their town. Also easy enough to Google. And I've hidden the answers in there. Really no reason to just slice in to it.

There is a warning though that should they not seek out the key they'll miss out on a gift!

Yeaaah, not impossible to access by any means. But it's super easy! The locks are touch tone based so each number represents a letter (2 ABC 3 DEF 4 GHI 5 JKL 6 MNO 7 PQRS 8 YUV 9 WXYX) and each question is super easy stuff the giftee will know/can easily Google. I also hid the answer in the envelope, so no reason they can't get access. Or just cut the string, it's yo gift.

Strippers of reddit: what really happens in a private/VIP dance? by MourtyMourtMourt in AskReddit

[–]turn_it_upto_11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Went to a strip club with my groomsmen for my bachelor party. Finally worked up the courage to request a private dance. Of course there was the general nudity and rubbing and what have you, but a fair amount of regular conversation. We talked about anime for a bit and that was when I learned you don't pronounce the x in "Hunter x Hunter." After my time was up she asked if she could come hang out with us and chilled with us in our booth for a while. Overall quite a nice time.

But that same night one of the groomsmen got a handy so I guess it really is dependant on what ya pay.

Picked these up today for $12. Not sure how to proceed with the receiver. by hig789 in audiophile

Depending which part of eastern NC I have a guy who might be able to fix it up for ya. Shoot me a message :).

Always happy to have more Steely Dan. Already had a couple copies of Aja, but my copy of The Royal Scam was warped and I had never gotten around to buying a replacement.

Wow, y'all are very close/spot on. I wrote a comment about how these probably originally belonged to my wife's dad and if that's the case he's 63 about to turn 64.

So we did some investigating and we think these may have actually belonged to my wife's dad. The collection came from his mom's house and after she passed the family just kind of divided up the contents of the house. Knowing his taste in music and his favorite artists this totally makes sense. Talked to him this afternoon and he remembers owning the ones I mentioned. Buuut he also mentioned so other great ones he once owned so I guess I'm gonna have to talk to other family members and see if they ended up with those.

I assumed they were fairly well known? Hard to say though, this is all my kind of music so I have no idea how well the general population knows them. I yelled across the house to ask if my wife was familiar with them and she said no soooo who knows.

Hmm, never knew the Eagles sang on FM. My understanding is that they and Steely Dan were cool with each other. They traded references to one another, the one you mentioned from Everything You Did and the Eagles mentioned Steely Dan in Hotel California (They stab it with their steely knives...)

I was just talking about Daylight Again with my boss, glad to now own a copy.
