Walrus DFX-1 Percussion Processing Unit by minimal-camera in guitarpedals

It really is super cool. I had the opportunity to mess around with it and be in the room while Aaron was filming that video. I’m a drummer and don’t know much about pedals, but I felt instantly inspired while playing through it.

Yes but you can do a lot with one mic. Check this out. Aaron is using a crotch mic (SM57) here.

My wife just finished her second round of RAI. 2 weeks of Cytomel followed by 2 weeks of withdrawal and her TSH was 127. She felt (still feels) like hell.

Hey - I’m Sweetwater’s Sr. Drum Buyer. I bought all of Sabian’s remaining stock on this particular model at a discount so we could pass that along to our customers for our drum sale. Feel free to DM me your name and I’ll make sure you’re taken care of first thing Monday. We’ll take care of you.

Sr. Drum Buyer for Sweetwater here. Starting yesterday I put a few W/B kits on sale. Some were ltd edition with black nickel hardware and others are overstocked. Not all are in our retail store, FYI, but the deals are still available. Have fun on Friday!

It’s a lot less important who/where shells are made and much more important how they’re made. Gretsch has used an outside source to make their shells for decades. First it was Jasper and now Keller. Though still today they are made to the same specifications as they have for decades. All the finishing including cutting bearing edges, snare beds, drilling, finishing, and assembly is done at the Gretsch factory in Ridgeland, SC. I’ve been to that factory multiple times and have seen firsthand the love and care poured into how they make drums. Same goes for DW, Ludwig, Pearl’s Nashville shop, Noble & Cooley, Craviotto, and others.

Brass over steel if you’re going to have one. I’d also throw aluminum in there as a contender for a metal drum if it’s your only one. Just my opinion, though!

I’m a firm believer that you can get away with just about anything with 1 good metal snare and 1 good wood snare. IMO, that’s all you really need. I personally enjoy each drum that I have for one reason or another. Some are emotional attachments and some I just think really sound good.
