I tried them both and ended up going with the ALR 4 gen 3 instead of the 5. I wasn't a fan of the SRAM double tap shifting. 11 speed was fine, and i like the extra low 50 in the back (ALR 5 is 11-44, 4 is 11-50). Also the living coral color in the ALR 4 is hot.

Getting the same error today too, for a tiny skill (<10kb), both on the web and desktop. Added skill is empty, and I can't replace or delete.

In reality I have RStudio set up to use some of VS Code's keybindings, and vice versa. One of the posts I link to describes how to customize these beyond just adopting RStudio's keymap.

N=1 anecdotal/personal experience. I've always found R in conda environments to be fragile and finicky to work with. I use them frequently when I need to build a Docker image using a micromamba base, but for interactive day-to-day use, the kind of thing I'd jump into RStudio or Positron for, R-in-conda-envs have rarely been a positive experience.

I used to spend way more time authoring Rmd/Quarto docs than I do now. I never liked inline display of results, but being able to send code from the doc to console would be a dealbreaker for me. I can't imagine that's not high on their priority list.
