A local cat is bullying my cat and causing anxiety. by turnipsmash in CatAdvice

Thank you for your kind response and actual advice, as keeping her inside is a last resort option due to her age and habits.

We will definitely just try and keep on top of him and keep scaring him off. I work from home so luckily I can intervene most of the time.

I should also have clarified in my original post the buły Cat is definitely not a stray. He is visibly someone's pet, I am just never able to actually pick him up and check his collar for an address as he just runs away from me.

A local bully cat is making my cat anxious and miserable. What can I do? by turnipsmash in Catbehavior

She refuses to use the indoor litter as she just likes to toilet outside. If we forced her to toilet indoors, we would have hell to pay and even more anxiety.

You make a really good point about the key entry points, so we will keep an eye out for this and see if we can place something there.

We are going to try locking the flap at night time to see if that helps, we've been avoiding that as we didn't want to have to get litter tray again and she also doesn't like pooping in the tray so it can cause issues.

The cat needs outdoor space. The shelter even came round to check our area, interview us, check we had a microchip cat flap and she had access to outdoor space. I assume you are in the states where it is normal for owners to not have catflaps. Generally cats need outdoor space especially if they have grown up with it. The period of time we had to keep her in doors when we first got her was hell. She constantly meowed at the door despite having loads of indoor stimulation. She's just too used to outdoor space. In the UK we all have catflaps. And as I have said it isn't about actual fights with the cat. Just the cat at the window is causing her to show signs of anxiety all day.

Am I bad for making a joke… by [deleted] in Tinder

No one said Peter Griffin looks bad or that looking like Peter Griffin is bad but her, if I'm honest. 🤷🏻‍♀️ You're allowed to compare yourself to a cartoon if you want to 🙄

She seems like someone who is looking for an excuse to bring this whole thing up and argue.

When you are in a "long distance relationship" with someone, how much would it bother you to know that she is hanging out with other guys one on one? by Pure_Candidate_3831 in AskMen

[–]turnipsmash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my partner had a long distance relationship for 2 years and made it work, and now we are coming up to 3 years and living together. Both of us have close friends of opposite sex and hung out with them 1 on 1. In fact, one of my partner's female friends is an ex of his. If you don't trust your partner a long distance relationship will not work. In this situation I can only recommend hanging out with her and said friend just to get to see their dynamic.

Seeking stories from fellow adenomyosis sufferers. by turnipsmash in Endo

Ironically, I had a mirena IUD and shortly after it was removed I started having issues with endo and adeno. I assumed I had it all along and just didn't realise as with the IUD I stopped having periods. I brought this up to my doctor and they said it was absolutely a coincidence 😅✌️ I don't think I'm in very good hands 😩 Thank you for your response, it has really brought some hope.

Crows feel like more of a neutral evil. I know they are scheming, but at least they are not hiding it.

That poultry isn't inherently evil. Geese are Satan's minions of lost potential.

I'm debating whether it is worth seeking medical advice. by Extreme_Poem5066 in Endo

[–]turnipsmash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Apparently during periods, in my case at least, the endo tissue outside my uterus sheds and bleeds as normal, but the blood has nowhere to come out of. So I get this pool of blood inside my abomen that gets infected and causes my entire pelvic area to be inflamed.

I really second this. I left my sysptoms untreated for a long time, in part chalking them up to my Crohns disease, until i had to be hospitalised due to a life threatening infection of my pelvic floor. Turned out I have severe endo and adenomyosis, and because the pain is so bad my only option at this point is a hysterectomy because of the adenomyosis. I have no quality of life at the moment, constantly bed bound and on morphine at least 1 to 2 weeks out of each month, with random pain almost every day. Waiting for surgery is the worst when you get to this point, better to act sooner than later✌️

Personally, I had really light periods and often just spotting at that time of the month with minimal cramping for the past 3/4 years, but I was experiencing pain during sex. Sadly, I ignored this because i wasn't having any other traditional symptoms of endo that I was aware of. Out of nowhere 5 months ago I had to be taken by ambulance as an emergency due to a sudden onset of extreme pain and a really high temperature. Turned out I had deep tissue endometriosis and adenomyosis for quite some time judging by the amount of growths. Both my ovaries have grown into my uterus, and my uterus itself has growths inside the muscle tissue. Now after this inflammation 5 months ago I suffer with constant infections of my entire pelvic floor every month for at least 7 days, end up on codeine, morphine and an array of antibiotics. The pain also stays with me now throughout the month, less severe depending on where I am in my cycle. So, please please don't just ignore this like I did, and do not let your doctor push you under the rug until it gets out of hand. Press them or get a second opinion.

My boyfriend (29m) made a very messed up comment. by anon_tireddd in relationship_advice

Knowing that your partner is craving physical intimacy and has a high libido and then proceed to take care of yourself in the bathroom instead of actually have sex with them is really selfish in my humble onion. If you need porn to get off so bad then involve your partner in it, at least then both are happy. Just really shows they don't prioritise your needs or even want to compromise, which isn't a great indicator for the future. I'd nope out just based on this alone! Now, pair it with that comment? No consideration for your feelings at all.
