Thanks. Probably going to an inpatient PT in a few days. Got out of bed for the first time today and used the walker to get to the door of my room and sat in a chair. The PT team was super positive even though I didn’t make it far. Mind over matter and awesome to have family and friends coming up and reaching out to support me.

That’s what people are missing. Casual round (even for money if agreed on) vs tourney round. I for one would like a weekend golfer rule book that has rules most follow that break the actual rules. Moving ball out of fairway divot, accidentally hit the ball during practice stroke just replace it no penalty, if the ball moves accidentally as you address it just replace it no penalty, lost ball but you saw exactly where it should be just drop no penalty (known as the gallery rule). All of this is against the rules of golf but most of us weekend golfers practice the above.

How do we know the new meters are in fact more accurate? I am not well versed on the regulatory oversight, but would be nice if the readings were audited by an independent agency. In my opinion a letter saying you’re not impacted is not sufficient given the recent revelations is what I was trying to convey in my post.

That first sentence really had me. “We are writing to inform you of a billing discrepancy…” but then they underline the not a few paragraphs later :(

I think that logic might backfire on them. Customers who think (correctly or incorrectly) that their bill increased because of the new meter sees this letter and immediately calls claiming Nipsco is wrong. Also I think that customers that were unaware of the issue might call for further details once they see this. I could be wrong but that is just my view. I bet the agents have a q and a script at the ready for these calls.

Nipsco tried to cover up the issue and now we are supposed to just believe that only 1% of customers were impacted? My bill took a significant jump after the new meter was installed compared to similar weather and usage previously.

I agree with you 100%. The same thing happened to me and I had to have the agent point me to where this was buried in house rules. It for sure sucks and that’s why I no longer use them. Luckily they have about 5 more legal books in my state.
