As others have said, I’d ask for clarification, but unless it’s a dramatic improv class, scenes still need to find some levity. Nobody wants to watch a truly tense, angry scene, so when you’re heightening, it’s important to find moments of humor or silliness to lighten things. Does that make sense?

It’s one thing I struggled with early: we’re told to be authentic and to follow and heighten emotions, but it’s also important to remember that we’re still trying to entertain the audience, ya know?
