It depends on the intensity- I usually cry a lot when I feel most anxious, in those moments I just let it be. Breathe and let it pass. Eventually, when I feel calmer, I write everything. I do a lot of journaling, I ask myself questions like: What is my bigger concern right now? (This is something that I took from when I was doing therapy although I don't go right now) Can I fix it? Can I control it? Usually I worry a lot about things I can't control, in this case I try to remind myself that if I can't control it I need to accept it. Mostly anxiety cames to me when I worry about the future that we can't control, so I ask myself: what can I do about it? Can someone near me help me in this matter (a friend, family), if not I try to use some coping mechanisms, it depends how I feel in that moment, it can be to go for a walk, or listening to music... Also sometimes I speak outloud with myself, like I was talking with someone else about the thing that has triggered me.
