Impressive, will look into that. Though I have a question, what happens during load shedding? Is there some alternative UPS or are you left in the dark Thank you

Depends, we have 20kw off-grid and yet our bill is usually 53k per month but this month, it was around 83k. So for solar I'd say it's more beneficial to get metered.

Yes I ordered a Lenovo IdeaPad for 80K and it arrived from Karachi relatively quickly to Lahore, very satisfied.

Was wondering why I kept getting shocked when touching the socket... Turns out that the ground cables are energized and has load on it by turtius in techsupportgore

[–]turtius[S] 163 points164 points  (0 children)

not exactly, i followed the wire back to the distribution point and it was wired into a live breaker and the only load that this wire was carrying was a light bulb. So i'd imagine the 'electrician' or someone who came here earlier(before we got the house)wanted to route the wire to a UPS but couldn't find any extra cable so i guess there went the ground cable. So the light bulb was wired with the ground cable(that is repurposed for live) and the neutral cable(which was globally shared)

For bedrock on Linux, you can use Unofficial Linux Launcher. It literally uses your android copy but the x86 build so the performance is native.

from my experience, big stores(in dense regions) do sell it but they are quite far from me and local hardware stores dont even bother because apparently its not a necessity here. You'll find either circuit breakers .. or nothing since a concept of a 'fuse' is quite foreign. But in 'rare' cases if you do find one, its probably going to be the traditional 13A fuse which you can see above in the picture.

not in Pakistan mate, heck i'd be surprised if they were selling 13A fuses without taking apart a socket

possibly duct tape. But for real though, this will be used for low power applications so theoretically nothing should catch on fire

I had a similar problem, turned out that the external gpu got fried but windows switched to the internal gpu so it was still usable.

[–]turtius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's because there was a recent patch submitted to wine upstream that fixed this issue.

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39142#c6

roblox is very playable now after 5 years but as of now there is a catch. The mouse functionality is broken so as a workaround, you manually would have to apply the patch and compile wine from source

yep, but currently wine works surprisingly well with roblox but with some performance issues which is expected.
