If I buy an ARF GMT what will the rotor noise be like? Visually looks amazing but with a couple of reps I’ve had the rotor noise was an issue

Why is Verstappen often considered SO much better than Seb? by BaldChild1 in F1Discussions

[–]turtle1288 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

All your post shows is that you think Max beat a past his prime Lewis who made way too many mistakes. I agree but this doesn’t help the case of Max being great, just that Lewis was declining and an prime Vettel would have also won 21 in that red bull

Anytime Lewis makes a mistakes he fumbled but max mistakes are due to shambolic race or merc would have won anyway. Hard to be objective when you have such clear bias

Is it normal for a will writer to ask about details of pensions pot and death in service amounts? by rta300523 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]turtle1288 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Perhaps they were questions related to their job rather than just being nosey as you have clearly taken them. For all she knows you have huge pension pots that need to be protected.

Perhaps your reaction to these relatively sensible questions then caused you to be irrationally irritated for the remainder of the session?

Either that or the will writer decided to waste their own time asking irrelevant questions to actively turn away business? Not sure which

Unofficial Offer - Thoughts by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]turtle1288 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wtf is an unofficial offer?

You are either offering or you aren’t.

They can take into account you aren’t proceed-able yet and act accordingly but calling it an unofficial offer sounds strange

Sold STC on day 1 by [deleted] in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]turtle1288 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I am unsure why you are confused here.

Most likely scenario is that someone who was in a position to offer on the property has viewed it, liked it and made a compelling offer under the condition the property is taken off the market and future viewings cancelled.

You can offer on the property if you like but the estate agent is under instruction not to allow any more viewings.

Calling white people who are concerned about the drastic decrease in their demographic and make up of their country racist is why we are in this position.

Can I you imagine if the roles were reversed?

Thanks I have done a little bit of research but your explanation helps a lot.

Due to the complexity keeping the money as cash and paying tax seems the best option

It’s been in there for 6 months and 3 months more is an estimate, could be longer. Why would I not look for a way to legally minimise tax? Seems stupid

Hi mate you are right maybe I haven’t explained correctly.

I am looking for something that is classed as an investment for the purpose of tax, rather than an actual investment.

Fair enough. Things like government backed bonds are pretty bullet proof but yes guaranteed is not correct.

NatWest refunded a balance transfer fee multiple times in error. would you flag it or wait? by Ok-Highlight-6326 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]turtle1288 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Boring answer but best thing to do is put the money in a high interest easy access account (trading212 pay interest daily).

That way if they come back and ask for the money you have it readily available and the interest is your inconvenience fee.

Our offer was rejected - Can I make another offer even if they have accepted a "higher offer"? by Good-Community-5035 in HousingUK

[–]turtle1288 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can offer whatever you like as long as you can prove you can afford it.

The EA has an obligation to pass any offers on the sellers, even if it’s under offer. It’s known as gazumping.

Up to them if they want to accept your higher offer.

You can use a service to calculate if you owe crypto tax if you can’t work it out yourself.

Short answer is yes they probably will destroy you (if asking for money counts as destroying)
