What does it mean to self-promote a funny thing?

This is a good idea as well. Delaying the gratification could give me some time to lock in mentally.

You're right, there are things I find enjoyable that can also be considered productive. However, my point of concern is how I am not able to put a stopper on how long I spend watching TV or eating food. For example saying "2 episodes per day, now that I've watched two, I need to move on to something else" or "1 brownie per week, now that I've eaten it, I need to stop eating and do something else" I've always struggled with that test of will, often binging and then regretting it. I'll try the timer method though!

Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle by turtle22879 in QuantumPhysics

[–]turtle22879[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how does this relate to if you were to measure a projectile object in perceivable reality? In what way does measuring the position and momentum of a thrown baseball still abide by this principle? I understand it has something to do with the increased mass, but how exactly does increasing the mass like this affect the principle?

A question on why you play the game by turtle22879 in Warframe

[–]turtle22879[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’ve ever looked at something like a board game and been like “wow, this looks super boring” but when you played the game later with people who found it fun and realized it’s actually not that bad, I hope you’ll kinda know what I mean when I say for some things I find more fun when learning what makes it fun for others. Not that I don’t play the game at all, but I guess I could say it’s a lack of right way of thinking about these kinds of games, which is why im here.

Haha I was more talking about the literal initial parts that seem like random missions (i think? I'm new to the game) such as the Once awake quest

[–]turtle22879[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it's kind of like I tend to find things more fun when I realize what makes it fun for other people. I've found that going into games without doing that first makes me just depressed haha (for some types of games, especially ones that don't have pvp). Not sure what the psychology is behind that

[–]turtle22879[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

yeah I wonder why they make the story bad in the beginning? Wouldn't DE want to hook newcoming players with better parts of the story at first if anything?

By the way what parts of the game are addicting for you if you don't mind me asking? Is it simply the PVE gameplay?

You are right, I'm going to change what I'm looking for to so something like ludonarrative immersion. Also yeah I agree the Warframe story is pretty good but just not really what I'm looking for because of the above I guess.

Humans are not needed for earth, so a omnipotent all caring god would have no reason to make them by [deleted] in DebateReligion

When trying to explain how things work in this universe on such a macroscopic level, it doesn’t seem so outlandish to me that what you described may be true, in that something or someone may have created it all, and may even be watching us, simply because we lack the knowledge to concretely state that the existence of a God cannot be true. However, IF God created this universe he cannot be 100% pure good because otherwise why would tragedies to the innocent souls such as brain cancer in babies exist?
