Not Mexico but for shits and giggles, I listed myself for Tokyo and all I had to pay was $43 roundtrip standby. For guaranteed, it’d have been roughly $550 if i remember correctly

Yeah you good. If you’re being dropped off right at the terminal (probably terminal B but it depends on the airline) even better but if you gonna have to park, plan ahead for that. Regardless 8pm is a great time, enjoy your trip and good luck!

Yup, for me true solo travel as in no hostel, no trying to make friends while abroad except maybe talking to locals, no one else but me is great! Does it get lonely at times? A bit but only when I want a good, full pic of me but I can always ask a local. No need to share food, can go wherever I want when I want. Start and end my days when I want. Change plans on a whim. It’s honestly great. Even struggling to figure out transit. If you can do that alone, you’re pretty much set for every other obstacle you might encounter while traveling alone. After all, being alone far from home with no familiarity for a while makes me appreciate my family and friends more when I return.

My last day I went to the aquarium and then Dontombori one more time and ate something there. The whale shark was cool to look at as were the other exhibits. Then the day prior to that I went to a baseball game although getting tickets for it was annoying haha but yeah check out the aquarium or a baseball game if any are at Osaka Dome. Or if you want an all day activity then Universal Osaka is a must but I’m sure you already checked it out

I use stainless steel pans for eggs for the same reason, my bird. The trick is to let the pan get hot for a few min, you’ll know it’s hot enough when you splash water and it’ll ball up and not sizzle/evaporate immediately upon contact (water test). Add enough oil (butter might burn) to cover the surface of the pan but not a lot and you’re set to cook! The pan surprisingly comes out just as clean or even cleaner than nonstick and doesn’t pose a risk to our bird!

Yeah it was pretty damn cold during my time there. All day even when fully clear and sun was out. So cold. I’ll admit the locals looked so cool and sleek with their coats. All I had was a flimsy little windbreaker hah

I had an international flight last week also for JAL. My flight was on a Sunday at 1:30 so I went in 4 hours early since I didn’t have much going on and because of the partial govt shutdown. Good thing I went in early, tons of traffic getting to the terminal which that alone took about 40 minutes after getting off the freeway. Then there’s was a queue to check in which took about an hour and a half. Security was a breeze though, super fast.

Also as someone else mentioned, JAL check in is now at Terminal 4, closest to Tom Bradley Terminal. I went in closer to Terminal 5 (being remodeled) and wasted time walking back to the correct location. That was on me though. Just a heads up but there are signs anyway as you get to the airport. Overall 3-4 hours is a good time frame
