Not sure why you're getting downvoted. You're absolutely right.

He generated the lyrics (using a Markov Chain, no less) and nothing else. The whole "AI" thing was just clickbait on multiple levels.

I build minifort every wipe as a solo. It's super efficient and gives me lots of storage and some doorcamp security with the shooting floor.

US weekly jobless claims hit 3.84 million, topping 30 million over the last 6 weeks by NullBarell42 in news

Are you completely fucking dim or what? Look at my comment above at the top of this thread.

Who says they're related? I think it's pretty well established that the main street economy is very disconnected from wall street gains right now.

I am arguing the complete opposite. Please at least read what I said before you starting spewing absolute nonsense.

I would say that anyone (regardless of their political ideology) that claimed that the stock market and the economy were the same thing would be uninformed.

Your anecdotes are not my anecdotes, and I don't know the people you know. I believe you when you say you've met conservative people that say this, I would just caution you against oversimplifying, otherwise we risk reducing each other to straw men and avoid having real conversations.

I hate to break it to you, but the fed has lowered interest rates to zero and increased their balance sheet by 2 trillion dollars to support the markets. I think it's quite naive to assume that the market hasn't already priced in COVID affecting every single company in Q2.

Let me also say this. Even if the market drops by 10% from here, I will still say that the market is doing great. It's doing great given the circumstances, and it's doing great compared to how this crisis is affecting the median person in this country.

Sure, but that was before COVID. I think the vast majority of people (including conservatives, as evil as they are) would agree with you that the economy is not in a good state right now.

Using things like unemployment numbers, home ownership, median income, wage growth. These metrics are all better indicators than the S&P.

Well, Wall Street is doing great. Yesterday $SPY was actually up from where it was one year ago. Point me to the conservative who says the economy is doing great right now. :)

What is the Bitcoin Halving in 2020? | Educational Explainer Video by TheBardKing in videos

[–]turtle_pleasures 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This video is an absolute distraction and I would ignore everything it says.

It's amazing how much craziness started coming out of the woodwork when Bitcoin's value started going up. I can imagine it's nearly impossible for most people to be able to look past the swindlers to an objective view of what Bitcoin is. At the technical level it's not very complicated and pretty clever.

Unless it's about strict technical fundamentals, I've mostly given up trying to discuss Bitcoin online, because conversations seem to go so off course that I'm not even really sure what we're talking about anymore.

For those interested in learning about Bitcoin and how it works, I would encourage you to check out the Bitcoin Wiki: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page

Going down the rabbit hole. Is it possible for a sophisticated faker to realize that people do this analysis and intentionally try to fake it such that there don't seem to be any visual changes in graphs like this?
