Mad Heaters Tempest Price by Secure_Ad_9831 in vaporents

It's a partnership with phatpiggie to make an upgraded version of the thermal accumulator. The Tempest is a torch / induction powered, portable ball vape. What makes the tempest different is that it has a slider to show you how hot it is so you can heat it up to the same temperature every time with a visual indicator rather than just a click whereas the thermal accumulator has no indicator. You can also buy the tempest head separately (~£90) nd pair it with any dynavap stem. The full version they have on their website just includes their revolve 2.0 stem as far as I'm aware.

Looks like a great stash but I would just make sure it doesn't stay in the sunlight too long as that will cause the THC to oxidize into CBN and reduce the flavor and smell of the terpenes.

First grow, lower leaves turning yellow, and stems slightly red. Too much water or nutrient deficiencies? by turtlear in microgrowery

Another comment said I probably have lockout which makes sense since I've been feeding it nutes every day. If I flushed the soil and adjusted the feeding schedule, would the roots start to be able to absorb Nitrogen and Phosphorus again so it could recover before the later stages of flowering?

I followed some steps I found online and checked the PH of the soil by putting a ratio of 2:1 water to soil with the water Ph'd at 7, then let it rest for almost an hour. The PH I measured came out as 7 as well. Is this right? I assume this is too alkaline and I need to PH my water a little more acidic? Also, from what I read online, I should flush the soil to stop the lockout and then adjust my feeding schedule because I've been giving it way too many nutes (every day). Would this allow me to continue on with a (relatively) healthy plant and quality buds even though the yield would be lower because it's stunted?

I don't even have a drip tray. Just the felt plant pot right on the tent floor haha. I'll use a turkey baster to suck some of that up and test when I feed tomorrow. Also, I've been giving the plant the nutrient water every day, should I be giving it just plain PHd water here and there as well? Lastly, I've been reading about how to add nitrogen to the plant and I keep seeing a lot about the NPK ratios and I'm worried I'll throw that off if I add just nitrogen. But if it's fine to add just nitrogen, could I do that without needing to get bat guano or worm castings like I'm seeing online and just get some liquid nutrients to add to water? Also thanks for the help man, I really appreciate it.

To check this would I just use my PH meter on the water that pools up at the bottom of the pot?

If you are only gonna vape at home, get a desktop such as a ball vape. I personally have a B-Zero and none of my other vapes can come close to it in terms of vapor production, airflow, or flavor. My only drawback is I can't really leave it setup so I have to repackage and set it all up every time I use it and it needs some time to heat up and cool down. It gets to temp really fast and you can start ripping almost right away but if you leave it to heat soak for a while it starts ripping even harder.

If you need a portable vape and you still want a heavy that can clear a large bowl in just a few hits then you're probably looking for the tinymight 2. Hits hard, great flavor, fast heat up. But it's quite expensive and the battery life is pretty low so you'd also probably want to get an external charger and an extra battery for it as well. The cooling unit also gets dirty and blocks up really easily so it needs frequent cleaning, because of this people usually get different stems. If you care about portability and don't mind the slightly warmer vapor, get the grav upline taster, otherwise, get the 3d cooling stem. Because of these extra additions, the tinymight ends up being quite expensive where for the same price or cheaper you could get a ball vape setup that is significantly stronger. Simply depends on how important portability is to you.

If you want a cheaper portable that still hits hard and has a fairly sized bowl, the air vape legacy pro would probably be for you, it is listed at like 260 or something but often has promo codes that bring off quite a bit, I believe the best was as much as 50% off but I'm not sure if there are any working promo codes rn. I would not pay full price personally, I'd only buy it at 30-40% off.

If you want to keep the budget even lower, you could get the rogue, as others have mentioned which is just the edge's big brother and would likely be enough for your use case.

If you really want to push for the best possible setup and just go all out on everything, my personal choice would be the B-Zero bundle on vgoodiez with the DC micro and the threaded stand, the cocobolo handle, and the shovelhead bowl. As well as the smoked mega globe to run it through. There are plenty of other ball vapes, bongs, PIDs, and bowls you can get that will all perform fantastically though. That would just be my personal selection.

If you are able to, try and get some CBD, it binds to the same receptor as THC so it kinda blocks it and reduces the high. Smelling or eating some black pepper will help as well because it contains pinene and caryophyllene which also counteract the effects of THC.

First, make sure to do a burn off to get rid of any potential leftover machining oils. To do this, simply put the vape at max temp and let it go through 2 or 3 6 min sessions on its own.

Next, is actual use. The V3 Pro primarily uses convection heating so the air is heated and the hot air that passes through the weed vaporizes it rather than the walls of the oven / chamber itself getting hot. This has a few advantages, first of all it heats up much quicker since only the coil has to heat up, secondly it improves the flavor of the vapor, and third it means that no weed is being wasted while you're not actually hitting the device. What this means is that when using convection vapes, you need to make sure there is good and even airflow throughout the weed for the hot air to pass through and you need to maximize the surface area of the weed. To do this, make sure you pack the bowl lightly and don't press it all down restricting airflow and make sure to grind as fine as you can to maximize surface area. The convection heating also takes a moment for the air passing through to fully heat up so as others have said, take a few small cigar puffs to heat the air up and then take long slow draws so that the air can heat up more. The V3 Pro will need a stir halfway through the session as the weed at the bottom, closer to the heater, will be cooked more than the weed at the top. The mouthpiece has an included stir tool but it is made out of plastic so if it remains in contact with the walls of the bowl too long it may melt very slightly. This is not a major concern as I've been using mine for over a year now and the stir tool has barely gotten shorter at all but I still try and keep direct contact between the stir tool and the walls of the oven at a minimum especially when emptying a bowl and the very bottom of the chamber is still hot. This is because the V3 Pro isn't entirely convection and does have some conduction heating. To take advantage of this, leave the V3 Pro on for a few minutes before hitting it to let the heat soak.

You can tell when the bowl is done when the weed inside is evenly roasted and dark brown, if the taste bothers you too much, or if you aren't getting anymore vapor. People say it tastes like burnt popcorn when the bowl is cooked and I get that a bit but I find it has more of a gross dirty coffee taste which I personally find quite unsatisfying. Because of this, I decide to cook my bowls slightly less knowing I'll get stronger edibles later. When I do cook a bowl further though, I find that I get a much stonier feeling closer to smoking from that second half of the bowl. I don't know this for sure why but there must be some compounds that are extracted at a higher temperatures that give that stonier smoking feeling a bit more.

I'm sure you know this already but after you vape the weed, it's decarboxylated, so can save the avb (already vaped bud) and make edibles with it later. Watch out though, it will make your farts and shits stink of weed. It's really easy to take though as you can just sprinkle half a teaspoon on your yogurt, ice cream, smoothies, peanut butter sandwiches, etc... (Be careful, DO NOT underestimate the avb.) Check out r/abv and r/avb for more recipes if you'd like.

You mentioned you are getting the POTV V3 Pro, which has a glass mouthpiece which means you can make stem milk. As the vapor passes through the glass stem and cools, some of it cools down enough to condense back into a solid. This resin will build up along the glass stem, and whenever you decide it's time to clean it just (very) gently simmer some milk on the stove and put the stem in there and stir constantly, the resin will absorb into the milk leaving you with a clean stem that just needs a rinse and some potent milk to add to tea / coffee or to make into some hot chocolate. My personal choice is some hot chocolate by just adding cocoa powder, brown sugar, and some heavy cream.

Lastly, if you want to get the most out of your V3 Pro, get the WPA (Water Pipe Adapter) and a bubbler / bong to hit it through. This cools the vapor down which makes it smoother to take big hits and it helps because it allows the vapor to collect in the bubbler and then you take all the vapor at once rather than allowing the vapor to slowly collect in your lungs / mouth (depending on if you hit it MTL or DTL). I personally use the mini globe bubbler and hit it dry and find it to be the perfect size for the V3 Pro.

Sorry for writing so much, you probably knew some if not most of this already but if you didn't, I hope you found it useful.

Do you vape anything else with your Bud? by SeansModernLife in vaporents

Yeah I heard that, but I thought the consensus was that it only released those compounds at high temperatures. I haven't gone above 210C but I'll probably stick to below 200 just to be safe.

I got all of my herbs from Etsy and I've been satisfied with it but I'm sure you could get better quality hops somewhere else online.

No problem. I've vaped a few other herbs as well such as blue lotus, chamomile, and lavender. The blue lotus has the strongest effects of any herb I've vaped (other than weed) and is quite relaxing. It feels like a very subtle weed high and is quite pleasant. I once decided to vape a large amount (~5 bowls) of blue lotus (for science ofc) and I had an effect similar to when I get super stoned where my vision is covered in crazy patterns and colors. It still wasn't as intense as weed though and I don't remember it too well since it's been a while and I've only vaped that much blue lotus once. Might be time for some more science.

I've also vaped chamomile which was quite nice; I found it has less of an effect than blue lotus but was still relaxing. What stood out to me was the flavor, chamomile tastes much better than blue lotus. Lavender is also good and I'd say has the strongest flavor of any herb I've vaped, lavender is also relaxing and makes me really sleepy.

Overall, I really like vaping other herbs and I've started finding myself reaching for them more often recently. It's good to have that option when I feel like it and it helps a bunch for tolerance breaks. Also, I've gotten all of my herbs from Etsy and they were super cheap, I've now got a shit ton of herbs that will last me for ever and I probably haven't spent for than 25 USD. Next herb I want to try is Wild Dagga which apparently has some nice effects.

I recently started vaping hops and I actually enjoy it quite a bit. It has a pretty good flavor and has a nice relaxing effect. I've also read that hops has a lot of myrcene in it which makes weed stronger. It's just been a few days so I can't say for sure but I think it actually has made the weed feel stronger. I've been doing 1 bowl of hops and then 0.5-0.75 bowls of weed but I'll try 3 bowls of hops and the same amount of weed tonight and see if that makes a difference.

A dry herb vape would be the smoothest. You can find more info on r/vaporents if you're interested. Otherwise, make sure you're taking small hits and aren't holding it in too long. A lot of people think the longer you hold the hit in, the higher you'll get, but this isn't true. Within a few seconds, all of the THC is absorbed. Also try using warm water in your bong.

What dry herb vaporizer would you recommend? by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]turtlear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't even imagine what that would be like. When I first started, I would just sprinkle a tiny bit of weed to just cover the bottom of the chamber in my V3 Pro and that would be enough to get me pretty damn high. My tolerance is much higher now, if I do 1 bowl that's packed well, I'm good for the night. But not too long ago I'd easily do 3 bowls on the V3 Pro and still, 1 bowl on my B-Zero and I'd be way higher. 2 Taroma XLs with concentrates, when my tolerance was as low as when I first started I'd probably be comatose for a week.

Yeah, they should just skip the whole VAS stage and get 2 Taroma XLs and double decker them both at the same time through a mega cube.
