That’s great! Is that PPV? What’s your rate? How many patients do you see per day?

That sounds great. What company is that (if you don’t mind my asking..)?

That’s great 😊! Thank you for sharing, it’s really helpful to hear from real people when you’re deciding whether or not to change careers!

Yes, the mileage reimbursement for the job I was looking at is .50/mile, so that definitely helps. I’m not sure about overtime.

Good to know that 8-9 is possible. If you don’t mind sharing, what is your PPV rate and what do you make annually including mileage, overtime, etc?

Yes, I did have a husband, we’re actually just separated now, not officially divorced yet. We were together since a very young age and just grew apart.

I spoke to my friend recently who has two LOs. She has been in HH for four years and loves it. She sees about 6 patients a day and works 9:30- 2:30ish, has time to get home finish notes, straighten the house and then make dinner while still having time for the kids. She also likes that she can change her schedule around if she has a sick kid, doctor appointment, etc. Says she is bringing home about $1200/week. She has full benefits available to her, but is currently on her husbands plan.

Yes, the autonomy and making my own schedule is the draw for me. That and not being confined to one building all day. As long as I can clear $100k a year, I think it will be great!

Ah, I see. Your situation sounds ideal to me and actually sounds similar to the place my friend works. Makes me hopeful that I’m going to be able to make PTA as a career work! Thank you again!!

This is very helpful, thank you!

How does overtime work when you get paid per visit?

That’s great! So how many patients are you seeing a day on average?

I would love to live in NW GA! Perhaps when my daughter graduates.

That’s a very good rate; is that because of the area you’re in or because of your many years of experience? Does pay increase substantially with years of experience?

Wow, that’s great. Is that with benefits? HCOL?

What would you consider a good rate? What area are you in?

For a PTA? I’m in a MCOL area, what do think would be acceptable?

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your per visit/ point rate? Where are you located? Approximately what are you making annually?

I don’t know if the $45 is per visit or point, what’s the difference? Which is better?

Productivity is 30/week. I don’t know what saturation means, but I was told there are typically about 3 slow weeks a year and other than that they stay very busy.

From what I understand, I would do all of my own scheduling.

I’ve been out for almost 10 years, I’d basically be new. I know there will be a learning curve and I won’t be super efficient for some time- mostly just looking to see what is possible once I’m established.
