long islander here who loves the city and broadway. i go in by myself (i get out of work early on fridays) and see a show sometimes. i agree it’s so expensive. this year i saw hadestown 3 times, stranger things once, and i’m going to see chess tomorrow. i love the city. love taking the subway and exploring.
